sorry, but in Australia High Skool is College, and yup they still get after skools ^_^. and sorry i wasnt atualy refering to u about saying firewall. more legasy, also Uni's and colleges here both use pretty much the same set ups for the server and server progs, the only difference is the college i went to had better security, supos thats caused by more attemps on there security :/

:S did this work for u? Running winXP SP2 and nothink, i have 4 Wireless profiles saved on this Box, and didnt pick up any, disabled firewall and still nada.

hmm i know that VNC is now picked up by a lot of virus scanners now because it is commonly used in payloads, though most will come up with it was a major threat but prompt for solution, we as somethink like sub7 is isntantly killed. As for steghide, yeah i was blocked for that one to T_T, im thinking it has somethink to do with you being able to engolth malicios code into the files, since avast has picked me up on most of the binders that i use.

i would say ur skool isnt using a Firewall to block sites, thats not really a firewalls job (dont flam i know it can be but there are other programs better suited to the job), but yeah, i would say there using a proxy for there internet gateway, if ur limited to using certant sites then i suggest trying to find what proxy the teachers use, if u got a U3 ive got a nice prog to get the proxy details. As for getting to play MMO's, u'll need to use another interal proxy that hasnt got the ports blocked, most skools use Packeteer (spelt wrong) to filter out given ports, such as MSN, FF, and Lime Wire. Most MMO's being as gay as they are will pull ur Porxy settings of IE (some also check FF), so go find out the teachers Proxy ^_^, then spend many of days in after skool detention, either coz u havnt handed in ur work or u were caught.

yeah thats pretty much how it works.

the codes dont relly on being in the same server, though if it is not on the same server then u will need to open up ur SQL to be X'ed with other sites (so 'a' can access the SQL on 'b'), All the cookies data and such for most forums are stored in its DB (well for PHPBB, IPB, and Post Bulleten), so what the script do is to access the info and work in the pretty much same way as what the forums do only with out all the forums HTML, and such. By default the codes use existing pecies of the forum for config (security reasons) though u can make ur own conf files of ur forum is off site.

Well about all that, if ur using Windows XP < SP2, use "Net Send", if ur running Novell, then i suggest "Novell MSG Send", and umm yeah all msgs that are sent around a network all get traced, and a msg aint gonna give u a legacie at ur skool. T_T sorry to say this but i have to agree with cooper, the security in ur scripts, are umm, weak at most. Though ive been browsing through ur site, and have checked out a few things, and seeing as though u have a PHPBB forum, why not use it? Having a look at ur scripts it seems as though either u are limited in ur PHP knowledge our u are totaly new to is, so the biggest thing i can suggest to any new comers of pretty much any code language, "there is no need to re-invent the wheel - 'Unless its hello world'", pretty much what ur doing, has pretty much been the focus of many web desingers, and now there are tons of good, high security scripts out there, with great HOWTO's and such. Though as mentioned why not utalise ur PHPBB? im talking bout Website Integration, (cross referencing of a Site and Forum) Over a few years of working for web sites, ive compiled a rather user friendly and security friendly libarary of Website Integration Scripts for PHPBB. If u wanna copy then feel free to IM me, and ill send em out to u. Also the issue with ur banner having the blank space is caused by ur html, try changing: &lt;table align="center" border="2" width="850" height="1420"&gt; to: &lt;table align="center" border="2" width="850" height="100%"&gt; Okay if u have questions, need help or want the scripts feel free to IM me ^_^ (also what cooper said, should really be taken in, for a learning curve, what he says is not only a great way in improving ur script, it follows best practce of PHP)

Heya all sorry i didnt really want to post this here, beacuse i dont belive that ive help other people, but still this problem is really bothering me and lowering my business. As well as killing my passion in website Admining. I belive that there is no know cure for DDoS but i was wondering if any one has some advise or solutions in lowering the intensity of the attacks. Pretty much every day or two, 300 or so Box's (all different IP's) all connect to a single page on my site, and within a second re-connect, and so on so on, causing the server to sh*t its self and crash the CGI, if i chmod the file that the PC's are accessing the site comes back up, but then the target file will change after a while and hay presto sites down again. Blocking the IP's seems to be an impossible task, every attack is from different IP ranges and i presume there zombies. Can any one please help me with this issue? U will become a hero on my site lol.

nay, this doesnt work, the box belives it now Pro, but isnt, for the the bare-bone installs are 400meg different, and in the form of network, driver, and admin options, there is quite a few sections missing. If ur cheap and dont have a copy of XP:Pro (sorry 4 thoughs i called cheap) either go out and buy it, or as mentioned work for a place with loose polices (i know i do :P). This really isnt for thoughs with home, it pretty much changes the word 'home' -> 'Pro'... wats the point. So u dont get mocked? lol.

lol, i dont think u quite understand, running an exe though VB is still just calling upon and exe, same as if u had done it from a batch file. Pretty much it seems that ur skool/work is using filters (as most do) and then ur using a low ass level user account (the exe error is casued by polices). My suggestions are to set up a home proxy (as mentioned) or to follow the steps in creating an admin account on the PC and using that, this way u will be able to run exe's with out errors, though when using Network managers such and Novell, and other progs the polices are imported at a later date. Though even if u do manage to get admin access and run exe's u will still have a Filter problem, to use PFF ur gonna need to point it at a server, which is then gonna filter u the same as it would an IE connection. Oh and as for them using a modded version of IE writen in VB... yeah... not a chance, would explane a lot of things but still no... i suggest u do sum reading about proxy's and filters, as well as netnanies and other filtering software such as sonar.

i was wondering if it is possible to have 2 ftp servers show as 1 server or as 2 folders when connecting to an ftp address, i mean like have server A and B, then when the user connects to the FTP address the see "Server A" and "Server B" as folders, in stead of having 2 address's and needing to create mulitiple accounts. Both servers are currently running F3 using Pure-FTP.
