  1. Cool that's all i wanted to know man thanks for the help!
  2. okay so the first post I did of the dmesg was after I admit I had turned my laptop into sleep mode so the light would not keep me awake I left the laptop on all day the screen never once has turned off. Here's the dmesg for today with the screen being on all day. http://pastebin.com/Q6XKMJ59 Here's the uptime log from Kali linux to the NANO http://pastebin.com/kXDPCeCe Here's the uptime log from inside the nano http://pastebin.com/S8XTPyJb
  3. Okay so my nano lost it's ISC after 9 hours. Here's the dmesg from Kali Linux first http://pastebin.com/cQ088tNH uptime log from kali http://pastebin.com/E9W5dcn1
  4. EDIT: Figured the command out gonna let it run overnight and see what the outcome in in the morning. ----- Hey darren thanks the reply im curious as to how im supposed to use the above command is that from the NANO webui or on Kali Linux? Would like to try this wednesday night if you can reply before then
  5. Yeah it's a big deal I just was curious if it was an issue with Kali Linux I didn't think it be a problem with the pineapple I'm curious when you have free time if you can maybe give me a quick walkthrough on how you configure your pineapple with Kali so I can see if that will fix my problem if you say it's a network manager problem
  6. Seb I'm not sure if running the wp6.sh script will fix it or not however im gonna setup my pineapple tonight and let it run till I wake up and i'll check the internet on my NANO and see maybe its just an issue with Kali Linux I don't really have any other device to test the NANO with im using OS X now so I would have to setup a Windows computer if I was gonna test with Windows. But I believe maybe it might be an issue with Kali Linux cause this has been an issue with the MK5 where after I'd set up ISC using the script internet would be fine but sometime later on the internet is I guess no longer being shared with the NANO. But im gonna set it up again tonight and see if running the wp6.sh will get internet working on it again or not I had the NANO up and running for 1 day 6 hours but unplugged it I was curious if their would be anything in dmesg I should post or what for logs the next time this happens.
  7. So I believe this has been an issue since the MK5 where the pineapple will be connected to the internet then after so many hours it just loses connection somehow to the ISC. Here is a screen shot of the NANO up and running for 1 day 6 hours I connected to the NANO and it was unable to connect to the internet so some hours later after setting up ISC internet has been lost I guess the only thing you can try is to re run the wp6.sh and configure it again
  8. Someone explain this to me what I'm doing wrong https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REkjAfBkwIU If this user https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/37361-wifi-pineapple-connector-app-issue/page-2 Managed to get it working on the same tablet and android version and build I have then why does the app not work like it's supposed to for me? Clearly you have 6 minutes to watch this video and tell me what i'm doing wrong?
  9. Lol typical reply like you're not hijacking this thread with your comments What does the Requirements on the box say again? Remind everyone what requirements are for NANO. When you get to the part where it says Smartphone and tablet you feel free to remind everything that not everyone smartphone or tablet is compatible How misleading is that? People will assume they could use ANY smartphone or tablet so let me go pull out my old Droid I have laying around and try seeing how well a smartphone from 6 years or more works on it since all I need is a smart phone. I only made the first reply because of... Some people have no issues using their NANO other people do so yes I used sarcasm. They completely let my thread go all the way to page two so rather than me trying to keep bumping the thread to get help I figured I'd make that comment I did guilty as charged. I love how this guy has only been on this forum less than a month and is trying to talk to me as if I was new here or something. Dude you don't spend the amount of hours I put on this forum trying to help people and reading comments I mean have you even released any videos trying to teach people how to use a product you don't even make any money from?
  10. I'm not sure if your comment is is to me or not but if it is... two reasons.. 1. It shows tethering is tethered under the option for tethering. 2. If connect to the NANO via the tablet as long as I can SSH to the NANO and figure out what LAN IP has been assigned to the NANO then it's a matter of putting that LAN IP in my tablet browser and it loads the wifi pineapple nano page just fine also any device I connect to the NANO can connect to the internet of the WiFi i'm connected to on my tablet just fine. The only thing again that doesn't work is the app once I enabled tethering on the WiFi Pineapple Connector app and it's showing tethered I tab back it and never reloads the connector app to take me to the NANO page. My NANO appears to work fine my only issue that is holding me back from using it is the app and also tethering with the wp6.sh script doesn't work for me on Kali Linux 2.0 so im waiting for a new release of the wp6.sh and trying again. If that is true then we have a really big issue because im able to tether the WiFi im connected to on my tablet and share the WiFi it's using with the NANO however like I said after I enable tethering with the NANO when I tap back it doesn't reload to go to the NANO login page however any device I connect to the NANO can use that internet from the tablet. So if tethering is not supposed to tether your wiFi then for some reason my NANO is because how else could the NANO be connected to the internet without any wireless adapter connected and having it setup via client mode? I do wanna see if I can test and see if Client Mode will provide internet to my NANO but but I guess if the NANO isn't supposed to tether with WiFi on a tablet maybe that's my issue but then why is other people who have a Nexus 7 2013 tablet able to use their tablet with the app just fine? And guys I don't mean to hijack this thread either it's just you gotta understand how frustrating this I know the NANO is for testing but I can't even test the NANO because I have nothing I can use the NANO with to even start testing bugs. I already had to sell my tablet now I gotta spend $250-350 and see if I buy a Nexus 6 if the NANO will work. The NANO currently doesn't tether with Kali Linux 2.0 and were waiting on a fix for the wp6.sh to come out maybe its out already I just woke up I believe darren was supposed to be working on it last night.
  11. I know my video of flashing my nexus 7 2013 tablet was wrong but even after I did that the app still did not work. I even used the same firmware and build that the user in that thread had still didn't work. Tethering works just the app doesn't reload like it should it just says that Disabled Tethering. The pineapple and the app are setting up tethering but the app isn't loading to the nano page it just says the app is supposed to obviously reload and send you to the nano login page after you set up tethering on your device I could still access the nano just fine but before I can I'd have to use a laptop and connect to the nano over wireless to find out what LAN IP was assigned before I could access the nano on my tablet. From what I seen in the setting up video after you enable tethering on your device you simply tap back and then the app is supposed to take you to the nano login that doesn't happen for no no matter what android version I use. I've tried at least 3 of the 5.0 versions of android including the one the user has in the screenshot. I've tried 4 Charger cables 3 out of 4 of them will allow me to enable tethering the 4th cable shows tethering disabled so it can't be the cables.
  12. Seb sometime I question how you claim tethering doesn't work for the Nexus 7 2013 tablet when clearly people on this forum have said they're able to use the app with the Nexus 7 2013 just fine. Feel free to tell me again how tethering doesn't work for the nexus 7 2013 when this user at https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/37361-wifi-pineapple-connector-app-issue/page-2 clearly shows and states the app is working. There is no tethering option on the Nexus 7 2013 tablet for 6.0 however this user is using 5.0.1 and clearly it's working fine for him. I even attached screen shots of pictures from the thread.... You gonna still claim it doesn't work on the Nexus 7 2013 tablet even though many users have said the app works fine for them? Also should I bring up the subject that at least 20 people have personally came to me for technical support for your hak5 products because they fear that people will have them back slash like i'm getting treated on here? I could sit here all day posting screen shot after screenshot of people messaging me on facebook and twitter asking me for help with the WiFi Pineapple and I don't sell people this product all im trying to do is find out how to get my problem fixed so I can help other people who face the same issue I can't even use my NANO anything I have the Nexus 7 2013 isn't supported the wp6.sh doesn't work and you want people to give feedback well if the truth honestly hurts that you guys are selling people a half working device never in history have I heard any company selling people some thing to test I mean does Apple sell a iPhone for people to test ? You guys should've held off releasing this stuff and just gave them NANO to people who won't give you feedback if you can't handle the feedback you're getting. be sure to delete my comments like you been doing I mean I wouldn't want people to know that they paying $100 for something that isn't fully working yet.
  13. Ohhhh you mean how like the wifi pineapple connector app for android doesn't work on my Nexus 7 2013 WiFi tablet but for other people it works for their tablet? You mean that kinda scenario?
  14. UPDATE: I have tested hak5's WiFi Pineapple IV firmware with the hardware made for Reaver Pro I would avoid trying to the WiFi Pineapple IV firmware with the Reaver Pro hardware it appears to not be compatible. Here's what happen the flashing kinda went fine but then when I went to upload the WiFi Pineapple IV firmware via the OpenWRT web UI I watched the serial console and noticed after it started booting back up I got a Bad Magic Number which means the flashing failed and caused a bricking of the device. ------ No the correct hardware that Reaver Pro is using the SDRAM 64MB Flash: 16MB while the WiFi Pineapple IV was using SDRAM 16MB Flash: 8MB The sticker inside my reaver pro says SDRAM 64MB Flash: 16MB on it. I know for fact that reaver systems uses that because I've talked with Terry and he told me what hardware it used I also talked with Patton.com which were producing reaver systems with the hardware before he went with a cheaper company that gets him the hardware for reaver pro. I have a Reaver Pro and just for laughs and giggles I will use my reaver pro as a test box and let you know if you can flash the Reaver Pro with the WiFi Pineapple IV firmware before you waste your money and time. Will update you later on the outcome.
  15. Assuming you have written consent from the person you're gonna perform an attack against you can so many tools that Kali Linux has to offer such as using MITMf to beef hook the victim's web browser and then use beef to get the victim into downloading and running a metasploit reverse tcp tons of stuff you can do. I'm gonna be working on a MITMf video very soon right now i'm waiting till after income so I can get new audio equipment i'm such an audiophile now that i'm gonna drop $800 on studio recording hardware :B
  16. No as far as I know you can't have both on the same device at least I myself have never heard of "dual booting" an AP. Just so you know; Reaver Pro contains SDRAM 64MB Flash: 16MB WiFi Pineapple Mark 4 Contains SDRAM 16MB Flash: 8MB So the OpenWRT firmware is not the same as far as I know the memory address blocks as to where the firmware is sent on the device are not the on both devices there both in a different location. I planned on doing a video covering how to flash Reaver Pro but the biggest problem some people will have is getting the serial cable driver working on their machines after that the rest is smooth sailing. You can pick up both the MK4 hardware and and a Reaver Pro hardware and flash them both it's really not all that hard. Below are links of the hardware reaver pro is using Board: http://www.data-alliance.net/alfa-hornet-ub-wifi-board-atheros-ar9331-400mhz-802-11n-version-w-16mb-flash-64mb-ram/ Case: http://www.data-alliance.net/case-for-alfa-hornet-ub-board-make-openwrt-router/ Antenna: http://www.data-alliance.net/antenna-2-4ghz-5dbi-omni-directional-w-rp-sma-connector-black-or-white/ You could build a Reaver Pro for less than what Reaver Systems sells it for I found this out myself shortly after Reaver Systems kicked me out of making any commissions after all I did for Reaver Systems I surely got tossed under the rug. I also stopped hanging out on Reaver Systems forum i'm not gonna offer technical support on hardware I make no sales or profit off of so wasn't gonna waste my time hang the reaver systems forum reaver systems can handle their own technical support. Anyways you can find hak5's old MK4 hardware on that same website you might even find the board already flashed with OpenWRT so all you need to do is login to the WebUI and then you can find the backup and flashing section and upload Hak5's firmware to that.
  17. Thank you guys for giving your feedback I hope more people will come forward and help share their feedback on the devices they're using their NANO with!
  18. I wanna get a thread going to see what devices you're using the NANO with Please include the following if you're using a Android device with the NANO. 1. What Android device are you using? 2. What Android version is your device using? 3. What Android build is your Andriod version. 4. Are you using the WiFi Pineapple Connector App from the Google play store? 5. Do You have Developer Option enabled on your device? 6. Do You have MTP enabled ?
  19. If anyone is curious I've provided a output of dmesg from the NANO http://pastebin.com/tkrcYb64
  20. Nope the app does nothing you enable tethering tap back still says that Tethering is disabled gonna flash to stock 5.1.1 and I'll record a short video of what happens when I try to configure Tethering on a Nexus 7 :B
  21. Check your 5.1.1 build for me and let me know what build your using maybe your using a different 5.1.1 build then I had when I had 5.1.1
  22. The app works fine with your device but not with a nexus 7 2013 tablet just yet. Which is misleading the box clearly says; Requirements: Smartphone or Tablet well I guess that leaves out the Nexus 7 2013 tablet because the app doesn't even work with Android 5.1.1 you can at least enable tethering but the app doesn't take you anywhere after enabling tethering. My video is to warn people who might not have any other nexus device other than a Nexus 7 2013 Had If I would've known the app didn't work with a Nexus 7 2013 tablet I might would've held off buying the NANO.
  23. Lol clearly you didn't watch my video because I already said in that video that tethering was removed in 6.0.1 its only in 5.1.1 anything newer its no longer there I did nothing their is a USB Ethernet option inside the Developer Options you can change from MTP to USB Ethernet then you can see that the USB option shows up under the NANO's ifconfig but has no IP Address assigned :B But I knew the day I flashed to 6.0.1 that Tethering was removed I came across a few things like http://androidflagship.com/16664-enable-tethering-on-android-6-0-marshmallow-updatebut that didn't work so the only thing you can do if you wanna have Tethering for a Nexus 7 2013 Tablet is ... 1. Downgrade to Android 5.1.1 and risk having a vulnerable Tablet. 2. Buy a Different nexus device other than a Nexus 7 2013 WiFi Tablet.
  24. I'm honestly glad that the NANO is a beta unit but at the same time spending $100+ on a device I can't even use is really sad. I talked to a friend who had a problem with the Rubber Ducky when he got it from hak5 he ended up having a paper weight ducky till he found out later that the firmware that came with the rubber ducky was out dated so.. I hope one day I'll end up being able to use the NANO lol right now it will be going into the gadget box. Typical hak5 sell you stuff that doesn't work correctly half the time :B
  25. No the app still doesn't work for The Nexus 7 2013 WiFi tablet I've tried flashing to 4.4.3 5.1.1 and 6.0.1 and I also tried using the Cyanogenmod with Android 6.0.1 that didn't work either. Their is no Tethering section on Android 6.0.1 unless its in another location I clicked the Configure on the WiFi Pineapple Connector App takes you to a Tethering & portable hotspot but the section just shows a white blank area nothing is their where as on Android 4.4.2-5.1.1 there shows; Airplane mode NFC Android Beam Tethering & portable hotspot VPN However anything newer than 5.1.1 doesn't appear to have a Tethering & portable hotspot section.
