No, but my Athlon 64 3800+ runs cooler. 30C idle.But it's not OC'd, and has a case with better airflow.

I recieved my Athlon XP 2600+ on Friday, and got around to installing it last night. The normal FSB - 166MHz Overclocked - 195MHz It's running at 2.25GHz Mobo - Asrock K7S41GX CPU - Athlon XP 2600+ HSF - Zalman 7000B-AlCu The idle temps right now are 37-39C (98F - 102F) I don't have any load temps yet. What do you think about these temps. Their a little hot for my liking, but I need someone else's thoughts. I think I might save for some liquid cooling.

During the night while I was painting a cheap-o 5$ case, the string that was suspending in mid-air snapped. When it fell it caused a ton of gouges and scratches. Being the lazy-man I am I decided to leave it to some other time to fix. Last night while studying for a French test I thought of ressurcting the case. Having no cash right now I knew I couldn't go buy some more auto-paint. I did however have some Duct tape. Cheap-o case + Duct tape + heat gun + clear coat = AWEXOME TO DA MAXX!!1 I'm actually kind of how good it turned out. I thought it would've looked all red-neckish. (RedGreen?) yes robotchild this mod is pointless unless u have a window on the top but i have a full acrylic case so it looks even better That's pretty cool.I couldn't stand to have an acrylic case. You could never hide any cables.

Thats another pretty cool mod. Kinda pointless unless you have a window on the top of your case. I'd take a RadGrill partnered up with a couple 120mm's, over a window any day.

I meant saftey wise. I have seen this done before (Other than that one on [H]) and it usually turns out alright in the end. One word of caution - Becareful with the plastic size. Your going to need something quite thin if your just going to do a hack-n-glue. Edit - Nevermind, you've already done it. I thought you were planning it.
