  1. Yup. Just go saver2 menu -> launch pandora client (in a newer version). No setup even, besides logging in. If tor is setup in sproxy all's good. If you launch the client using Pandora.exe it uses IE's settings.
  2. Actually, I plan on working on that today. But in the interim as brofix mentioned the pandora client works for this as well. With just a registered account you get 128kbs (no subscription or anything) Shuffle stations works better because it has the full selection of music - quickmix is limited to about 400 total songs (which does not change much if at all if stations change). So, more music is available. Truthfully, I've never experienced an ad on pandora. So i really wouldn't know. Most of the regular ones are blocked by adblock i find.
  3. Actually, the client can either be launched standalone (Pandora.exe) or as part of SProxy. If IE is configured to use a proxy, the standalone one will use it, but generally if you intend to rip music it's easier to use it from sproxy. If you launched it from the sproxy menu, it's part of sproxy, and there is no way to tell the memory use. The client has no knowledge of how to save songs and such - all of that is handled by the saver2 plugin (and thus saver2) and there is minimal interwork between the two. Approve song is about all the client knows of. aacplus at 64kbs is roughly equal to 128kbs mp3. ADs: hrm. you mights try adblock plus if they're common ads.
  4. Volume control can't be helped - i find the hardware mplayer control is utter arse (non-linear and very quiet). Softvol introduces lag (as you noticed), but i find it's a decent exchange. At least it's linear and a proper volume. The linear bar is missing (when in turbo) as i haven't taken the time to write a bit to figure out mp3 bitrate from the file, and as the turbo mp3s are encoded at the minimum bitrate possible to save size the normal estimation is nonfunctional. Crashed = exception? or? It should pick the first station if you pick no station. OOps, found it. IF you hit X, it doesn't handle that and then gets caught. Will fix. Fixed. To check mem use use taskmgr (ctrl alt del) Save button is if you want to pick songs to download. Click it, song downloads. Only functional in SProxy ofc and when set to wait for download. There should be a quickmix in there somewhere? But only configurable by flash atm. Anyways, shuffle songs memans it mixes up the 4 songs received from pandora and shuffle stations means it changes station every 4 songs. Not quite quickmix, but it ensures a greater variety of songs are ripped (and is enough of a mix for me tbh) Oh, a side effect: if you are using my client to save music, it saves 128kbs mp3 as opposed to aacplus with a regular account (NOT PANDORA ONE!!). No re-encoding necessary. Nice little loophole.
  5. Find me some ad urls and they could be blocked. If it's not too much trouble i'd be much obliged if you could test my pandora client (go saver2 -> launch pandora client) I can tell some differences between the aac and mp3 versions, but the aac is really quite good. (i haven't sat down and done a comparison though)
  6. Yeah, that's when the idle timeout normally is for regular accounts. Though, i don't know of a heartbeat sent by the client, so... Running the test right now, anyways. Mmmm... over 60 songs... still going. Well, we know the culprit now. Uploaded a version with the speed limiter now. If the data is in mp3 format (pandora one or my client) it can use the full range of speeds, if it is aac 15s is the minimum wait now (from 5). I added an override, though, under advanced settings (should be obvious from there)
  7. Did pandora show songs playing? Also, is april 29 PS1 or? Hmm, oddly enough, i just got the same error on my testing account. I'll try it on the other one now. I'm starting to wonder if turbo mode is too fast... i know ps1 was a bit slower due to how it worked. (waited for the song to be downloaded + 5 seconds for pandora to play). And on the pandora one account it's barreling blissfully along. Hmm. Actually, here's a thought.... might be the server is checking for time. 10-12 songs would end up to be around an hour in length.
  8. Try the new one and see if it dies. Are songs going by when turbo is running or is it sitting with no song "playing"?
  9. Guess it just doesn't like you. Nothing i can do. Also, a note to people upgrading to use the pandora client - if you get an error "check mplayer (pipe failure)" when trying to play music, close pandora player, delete mplayer.exe, and relaunch pandora player.
  10. Yeah, confirms my suspicions outside of that weird one. Playlist end usually is resolved in about 30minutes to an hour. And as far as the time goes, idk. Pianobar is a linux pandora client, and there was a comment about receiving the same result. Try listening to pandora normally. Or try the standalone client. I should note I've been able to run 8 hour+ turbo sessions just fine, with rarely a failure. I do have a pandora one thing, if that affects anything.
  11. The hell? lol A quick google says to check your computer time, some guy using pianobar got it....? dunno Do clear your cache, as i find aart timeouts tend to happen because of it. A bit ago i added code to stop caching, but it doesn't help if images are still cached by your browser. You might try to listen to pandora normally, and see if you get banned the same.
  12. Yes, you've been temp banned. Already know that. It'll wear off in 30m to an hour. Need to see a bit from the start of the log (start from where sproxy was started to when the first song started playing on pandora, on the post before this one.) To confirm turbo is in fact working.
  13. Post the contents of all the bad XMLs (or mail, or attach them or something) and take a screen of sproxy and pandora windows. Something's really weird here. NVM THIS Also clear your cache, that's usually what causes the album art timing out. OH. Figured part of it out. The reason i'm still seeing songs ripped is because the AART is timing out (thus 3 minutes delay or so). If all of the XMLs have the end of playlist bit in em, don't post them - that's a known pandora thing. It expires after about 30 minutes. Post a bit from the start of the log. (where pandora has started playing music)
  14. Set to manual proxy configuration and put in 127.0.0.1 at whatever port
  15. Post the content of one of the bad pandora XMLs it notes. Something's fishy, though, as pandora seems to be playing just fine in the background.
  16. Need a log. you could try forcing FF to use proxy (not using browserPAC) to just see if it would work. Could also try deleting or renaming SProxy.conf so it resets to defaults.
  17. I'd double check the proxy settings - I take it you went to pandora over the duration of that log, but as there is no requests it seems the browser is not communicating. Might try restarting, and/or reloading the browserPAC in ff settings. The status page works because it doesn't need to be configured in the browser to function. Oh, unrelated, I added the genre scraping support to slacker so slacker files will have a proper genre now. Also, if you could test the standalone pandora client it would be much appreciated (go to Saver2 menu->launch pandora client)
  18. You showed me a log of sproxy starting up... as far as i can see, it's functioning as intended? And I didn't mean to offend you, but I had to ask as there is no other requests in the log. So i'm not sure what you are asking here...
  19. Ugh, i'll have to see what's going wrong here. Go to internet settings, connections, lan settings, with SProxy closed, and uncheck use proxy server. Oh god i'm an idiot - found why it didn't work. It was only set to restore proxy settings if you had a proxy configured before - if it had default values (off), it did nothing. I've updated the zip with a new sproxy.exe. Replace yours with it and it will set and unset proxies properly. How to fix IE and other apps not working when sproxy not running: Then update SProxy.exe from the normal link. This log has nothing? It just shows sproxy/saver2 startup. Are you sure you have your browser configured right?
  20. Make sure you've completely restarted chrome (all processes exited).
  21. Yeah - either check set as IE proxy in SProxy settings OR you can try to get browserPAC working with IE (I never got it to work properly). after checking this, restart sproxy and the browser(s) and it should work. Glad you like it :)
  22. http://ridetheclown.com/wp/saver2/ Standalone player. Also included in the saver2 download (see my sig). This uses proxy settings configured in IE. This program does not have the capability to save music, it only plays music. If you wish to timeshift see saver2 which includes a version which can do so. <img src="http://zzj.itf-inc.com/downloads/newminim.png" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Supports creating and seeding stations by searching for music Supports deletion and renaming of stations Supports shared stations, creation by station url or ID or when using sproxy when you click on a listen link Supports feedback (duh) and will skip when badly rated (unless you choose otherwise) Shuffle stations (every 4 songs) or songs Web control if using sproxy (controls, change station, see what's playing) Global media hotkeys (play pause, next) UNLIMITED SKIPS Mute, volume control, etc. Requires net framework 2.0 Post screenshots and logs if something dies. Uses about 30mb memory and little cpu; compare to 90mb+ for firefox and flash, never mind cpu use. Takes up about 6mb on disk, most of that being mplayer. You need a pandora login to use this, does not support anonymous mode. When launched from sproxy, there is a rocket icon above the keyboard (hotkeys on/off) which can be used to toggle turbo mode. A note - to properly control this over the network, you'll need to go into SProxy advanced settings and set "ServerName" to something meaningful like the computer name/ip ("TURBO" or "192.168.1.50") and set "AllowNonLocal" to true (and restart sproxy). You will need to be using SProxy.exe, not Pandora.exe for this to function. THIS WILL FUNCTION UNDER WINE! Just be sure to tick wine compatability when installing.
  23. for PS1.003-1.008/S2: - much appreciated Also noting you may want to check out s2 http://hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13598
  24. Possible - what sort of error does the remote desktop app get? check it doesn't have a proxy configured in its settings. Also try closing sproxy and checking IE's proxy settings. Think i might have to add a button to fix IE settings, seeing as this seems to be a commonish error :S (IE getting proxy stuck) Also, thanks for the donation :) I have updated the download link with the new version of the Pandora saver plugin with the built in pandora client. zzj.itf-inc.com /downloads/Saver2Beta2.zip (OUTDATED SEE MAIN POST) To use either launch sproxy and select launch pandora client or run pandora.exe. NOTE: if you use pandora.exe, you can't save songs (saver2/sproxy is not running).
