Hi guys I'm planning to make a media server to sit next to my xbox and plasma tv but have no idea which distro to use the only OS that i've tried is windows media server and that's 2006 since then i haven't really got time and right resources to do it but now i have so any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Also I want to use minimum hardware resources as much as possible and use old hardware that i have but i could splash out some $ on logitech dinovo mini and other stuffs maybe, I still have an old P4 and P3-server doing nothing in my room.

Can i do it with a multiple PA systems like 2 or 3? if yes then how? I've your tips and it works great now i just need to find the right .wav file also I've tried to do a multiple alarm in just 1 scheduled task but it's not possible so i'll be making multiple tasks because the alarm needs to buzz 8 times a day.

Hi guys, I'm trying to make a little project that will basically serve as a buzzer for clock in and clock out or break time starts and finished so people are when they're hearing the loud sound that it means they need to go back to work, any help would be greatly appreciated

If all people will buy Intel like the old days processors are way too expensive that's why not so many people have computers specially on the 3rd world country's so for me i'll choose AMD simply to help AMD kick Intel out of the top and Intel will kick AMD again at the end it's always end user's benefit ^__^

You need to think what services does your server will be doing since going to quad core is over kill if you can't utilize the proc you'll be just waiting your money for buying the proc and for paying your electric bills.

Good day @ all I'm planning of getting a netbook for further testing and extending my knowledge on penetration testing. As of now i only have a desktop which means i can't test wireless cracking etc. and if ever i'll be doing that i want it to be on the move. Now the question is what the best Nebook out there on the market since i have tons of choices to be looking at.
