Shaun Posted May 29, 2006 Share Posted May 29, 2006 You are aware of course that for some time now Adobe has Acrobat Reader out for Linux?It's shite compared to programs like xpdf, but that's kind of besides the point. :) PDFs don't seem to render as well for me in xpdf. cooper Posted May 29, 2006 Share Posted May 29, 2006 xpdf is faster and works good enough for me to not warrant the installation of that AcroRead drivel. Problems arise when you run across encrypted PDFs, as xpdf can't display those. But for the most part I don't like PDFs anyways. They have their uses, but those are for scenarios that don't apply to me. Hence it's just another piece of software I need to run before I can see some content, which is annoying.
