sc0rpi0
Question 1: is possible to remotely access a machine without admin privileges (regedits etc.)? if so... Question 2: any recommendations concerning programs which are capable of doing this? much appreciated

shido
REMOTELY ACCESS??? are u sure u usin the right wording here??remote access means to access the computer from another location on the network. I think you just got the wording wrong so ill just tell you a way to gain access to the computer that you at without need of administrative pravliges. 1) Keylogging (not really advised but its good) 2) using a boot cd such as hiren 3) using dreampackpl. (also requires you to use a cd to boot)
Xarf
Lol.... lol..... lol.... Sorry. Logmein adds info to the boot and services lists which does require admin. VNC however does not require admin as it runs as an application. http://www.realvnc.com/

sc0rpi0
i'm sorry if i miscommunicated. I am not attempted to "break into" a remote computer (gain access remotely) but to establish a "backdoor" so that a computer can be accessed later. perhaps i am mistaken, but doesn't vnc need to make registry changes to operate? thanks. moonlit
So... you're not trying to break in, you're just trying to plant something that would make breaking in easier in future? I think that's pretty much the same deal as far as I'm concerned.
