film
Hello, i was wondering if anyone has any tutorials or any information they can give me about how i would go about having a dual boot which was Windows Xp and Windows 98... Sparda
Why would you want windows 98? It's a piece of crap (worse then xp at least). If you need Windows 98 for some reason just use a VM.
thisiam
I agree. i use VMware for windows 2000 so i don't have to worry about partitions. but if you do want to install both. make 2 partitions and run the installation disc and follow the prompts. stingwray
Go with VMware, unless you need 3D acceleration in Win98, which I doubt. You have the added advantage of not having to reboot all the time as well.

take it take
Would you want to get a really cheap hard drive for Windows 98?
VaKo
Im not to sure where to find it but i will look on VMware website Get MS Virtual PC 2004, its free, much lighter weight than VMware, easier to use (less features you will never use) and really is the best thing for windows virtulization. uber_tom
If anyone still cares, if you install 98 first, xp will detect it and automatically install a boot menu. Why would you want windows 98? It's a piece of crap lets see, its cheap, light and fast. Better DOS compatibility, Better OpenGL rendering and runs alot of the old games/programs that wont run well (or at all) on the NT kernel. I've had alot more problems with 2000/XP then i ever had with win98.
