G-Stress
Hey guys, I am wanting to run my own cloud server something kinda equivalent to Drop Box, but from home. After googling a bit it seems this is the way to go: http://www.tonido.com/ I'm just curious if there is anything better that I might not have seen. Mr-Protocol
BTSync is pretty cool in my opinion.
G-Stress
BTSync is pretty cool in my opinion. Thanks for the quick reply :) I just checked and that also does seem like it will work for my needs. I guess now I'm curious does BTSync or any other home cloud services support multiple user login options? Before I was using adito which worked well, but there was no option to "sync" which will be very convenient for family.
Newbier
another one would be owncloud http://owncloud.org/
Mr-Protocol
BTSync is just a hash, you can have a read only hash, or a write permission hash. Give the computer you want to give access either one, and it will sync up.
G-Stress
Yea I looked at owncloud too, but it's not free. I like the interface of tonido so far and BTSync seems to fit my needs also. I will throw them in a VM and see which one will work best for me. Thanks guys!

G-Stress
I will look at the features offered in the free edition vs. the enterprise version and see which one will suit my needs best. Thanks.
