BlackOp
Well, I'd love to have the Pineapple as a robust wifi pen test tool. It's a great concept but I can only observe from only having used the Mark V. To be fair, out of the box the Pineapple Mk V worked 100% as advertised with my MacBook Pro OSX 10.7.something. No problems whatsoever using the Ethernet cable. My next step was to use client mode which was a bit slow to unusable. After many many hours/ days using client mode, I decided to revert back to ethernet cable connected to my macbook - which previously worked 100%. Now, despite the IP stack being up and running and the Ethernet. (Layer 1) showing as active, I cannot access 172.16.42.1:1471. I cannot see any change from the first successful installation/ connection So, another factory reset. Another because in client mode, it got so slow that things timed out. Only the factory reset restored functionality. Had to do this twice hence my decision to revert back to Ethernet cable connection. Factory reset also seems to mean losing infusions- this can be a pain. It would be useful to have an optional network settings factory reset. If you install your infusions to the sd card, they will come back after a factory reset.
BlackOp
Infusions. yep. that worked Thank you. I've now upgraded to MAC 10.9 Mavericks and run up against Apple's silly change to ICS!!!! Grrrrr No fault of the Pineapple- it's all Apple !!! Will now revert to using Kali ICS inside a VM on the MAC. Wow, I though Apple was all about keeping things simple!
