SystemCrash86 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Does anyone know where to get the new Wifi Pineapple case from? I have asked afew people and searched online but to no luck. I know that the Hak5shop is currently not selling the case on its own and since i have everything else - pineapple and battery pack - all i want is the case to tidy everything up. Has any got any ideas? Quote

Pwnd2Pwnr Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Sorry bud... had no idea there was something better... http://www.pelican.c...l.php?Case=1085 or this one has a zipper; http://www.pelican.c....php?Case=i1010, and you could probably get a custom one for the exact specs.. stealthkit Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Just go to Walmart and find a cheap camera case that fits everything. Just an idea :) Quote
Pwnd2Pwnr Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 To reiterate... what is better than Pelican? I was under the impression that Pelican was top notch... hmmm. Quote

Yeah it probably is, but i was looking at the case thats currently being sold as the Wifi Pineapple Holiday Bundle because i like the way it looks and was hoping to get hold of that on its own but i have no idea the specifications for it which makes searching for it rather difficult. I would appreciate if someone could send me in the right direction Quote

I would appreciate if someone could send me in the right direction I would ask 'Snubs' and see if they would be willing to sell it on its own or possibly point you in the right direction where they get their stock from. If not sell it to you then maybe give you the specs on it. They might not give up anything at all but can't hurt to ask. Quote
SystemCrash86 Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 I did send an email to the Hakshop requesting the specs of it but since its christmas (at the time of this writing) i am not expecting a reply for a while, which is why i posted the question here. Quote

Almost if not identical to the one in their holiday bundle. Does it close ok? I bought some similar from amazon and the pineapple and battery pack fit in perfect - its just when i try to close the case that my problem arises. Having both in the case and trying to zip it up it wont close Quote
barry99705 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) http://www.julbousa.com/parts/cases/ The one on the left, works perfectly. Pineapple MK IV, with a Pineapple Juice battery back velcroed to the bottom. It's also a semi-hard case, so if you throw the whole kit in a backpack it should keep you stuff from getting crushed. wireless router Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I would not recomend the new case. I bought the holiday bundle pack for my first pineapple! :) I have to say I am not to fond of the case. I thought it would be more form fit to the pineapple but its not. trying to hook up the battery pack, cables and usb (unless you bought the usb hak5 recomends) the case is very cramped and doesnt close well. You may also take into account I may not be very good at organizing everything. I would like to be able to just throw everything in it quickly though which is not the case with this case. does anybody else have experience with this case? can include pictures of how theres is packed? those would probably be helpful. Bountyhunter50 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I actually just bought from a local dealer a Pelican 1050. LOVE it! Quote
Scout32 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I just got my Pelican 1050 case from the HakShop and my Anker Astro3 battery, so I figured I'd share a few of the cases I've been working on and the pelican case. I wish I could test this, but my Pineapple's WiFi seems to be shot and I can't figure out how to fix it (considering sending it back for a replacement). Anyway, I've managed to fit everything in the Pelican 1050 with slight modifications. I still need to mod a power cable to power my external hub, so that is the only cord you won't see. But everything fits in each case very well. Pelican 1050 Case: WiFi Pineapple Mk IV Alfa AWUS036H (Top part of case REMOVED < important for proper fit) Anker Astro3 10000 mha battery 5v/9v/12v 2A Pelican 1050 from the HakShop 16gb SanDisk Fit style usb USB swivel adapter (HakShop) Two RP-SMA extension cables Two 5dBi antennas Tripp-Lite powered travel 4-port usb hub Here are the images of my setup http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8366817784/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365753401/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8366821614/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365753869/ I have attached Anker to the lid with two strips of velcro. The only real way it would all fit was with the top portion of the Alfa case removed, and the Alfa put on its side next to the pineapple. When the lid closes, there is a void between the battery and side of the lid where the protruding portion of the Alfa can fit unobstructed. The next two mods are with a double CD case, and a single CD case Double CD Case: I plan to secure the Pineapple, Anker, Alfa, and usb hub down to the case with velcro but it all fit just fine. http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8366823234/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365755789/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365755455/ Single CD Case: I only used the Anker and Pineapple (along with the 16gb drive) for this mod. This case is too small to include a hub and Alfa, so internet would need to be shared via ethernet. http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365761403/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365756231/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365756531/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8366830102/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/92060902@N04/8365762849/ I used my netbook just for the pic. The laptop I'd normally use with this has a cd drive in it so it wouldn't look suspicious with a cd case and a netbook with no drive ;) . Looking forward to seeing more case mods for this! I saw a really cool breifcase mod in a different thread that was awesome. Quote
ShadowBlade72 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Thanks for the post Scout. Reading the dimensions on the "Anker Astro3 10000 mha battery 5v/9v/12v 2A" from Amazon, it didn't seem like the Anker would fit very well into the Pelican 1050. At least it didn't seem like there would be enough room to plug the USB cable in. Obviously from your posts, it fits just fine without any issues. If only you had posted a few days earlier! I decided to go with the 8300 mHa Anker instead because it was smaller. Oh well, I'll just have more room in the case. Maybe I'll be able to fit the Pi in there as well once it arrives ;). Quote

Does the pinapple alone juiced with the anker bat feed enough power to a 3g pen, pen usb and alfa? Cheers, P.S- Can you point me to the cool breifcase mod you were talking about? Quote

I notice in doublecd pic you don't power the 4-port usb hub. Does the pinapple alone juiced with the anker bat feed enough power to a 3g pen, pen usb and alfa? The power cable from hub-to-Anker is the only cable I didn't show. I lost the original power cable years ago and was trying to come up with a solution. The Anker came with a bunch of different size barrel adapters that fit on a 5.5mm 2.1mm barrel plug, so I'm going to give that a try since one of the adapters fits my hub (and the adapters fit on the usb-to-barrel plug sold for the pineapple in the HakShop). P.S- Can you point me to the cool breifcase mod you were talking about? Here is the briefcase mod I saw. It's pretty clever! http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/25796-my-breifcase-wifi-pineapple-rig/?p=206249 EDIT: The USB plug on the barrel-to-USB cable (sold in the HakShop) is just a little too long to fit. I'm going to end up either getting another USB swivel adapter or getting a second cable I can mod to fit. Edited January 10, 2013 by Scout32 Quote
