badbass Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Okay maybe I should comment or answer instead of asking questions. Cable modem inside a computer. The only way this will work is with sufficent airflow around maybe try a smaller scientific atlanta modem. Mount it in the front of the pc. Its small enough. The other issue is minimum cat v cable length. If it requires 12 v power can be pulled from the power supply. Use velcrow or mount it to the drive bays. In florida and nearby states there is the chance of lightning damage. So think twice. Quote
psydT0ne Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I reckon its a sweet idea, except stoat law says that hectic blizzards can cause catv to become brittle without proper lagging. Quote
Mr-Protocol Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Was the cable modem inside the PC a thread already? Or was that chat in IRC? I don't remember. Quote
