The only way this will work is with sufficent airflow around maybe try a smaller scientific atlanta modem. Mount it in the front of the pc. Its small enough. The other issue is minimum cat v cable length. If it requires 12 v power can be pulled from the power supply. Use velcrow or mount it to the drive bays.
