Sparda Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Any plans for a H.264 format for the Hak.5 episodes? Quote
PoyBoy Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 This format looks like poo, but it is one of the best at low quality/reslolution. I say let JooTube (sorry. Absolutely terrible) and Google Video do the downconversion for streaming applications. Quote
cooper Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 See this thread on what it means to have multiple formats around, and where the issues lie. Quote
Darren Kitchen Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Any plans for a H.264 format for the Hak.5 episodes? Yes! In fact, we've had em for the last year. It's called the iPod compatible .MP4 file ;). It's encoded in h.264 at 768 Kbps with 128Kbps audio. If you've got the processing power for it, it can often look better than the xvid. http://hak5.libsyn.com/ Quote

cooper Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 No shit? Guess I'm gonna grab that one aswell then and compare. Always figured bigger was better... Quote
dizzy1 Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 talking about video conversion/formats. I have had a lot of success with isquint(a free prog. for mac to convert to mp4). 1 I hate is hawkeye the conversion is multi format but the quailty is very bad. Quote
