Garda
an update, cos i've been following this http://www.m0hid.gov.hu/toplista the above url takes you to the hungarian website that shows the short list of names. Stephen Colbert has 55% of the votes. The most interesting are 3rd and 4th, which kinda describe how they got there. The first legitimate candidate is Pató Pál hÃd, i think anyway, it looks hungarian. With 4% of the votes.
wetelectric
/me votes for 'perl script'.
VaKo
Yay for Colbert hid! Although the guy in the hungarian goverment who suggested an online poll is probally floating face down under said bridge... This is probally why we don't have online voting though... Vote President Perl Script in 2008!
omega_ion
I've been watching this go through on the Colbert Report. The rules on the site say that the number #1 finisher may be chosen to have the bridge named after him. So there's no guarantee that Colbert will get the bridge, but I know the Hungarians will do the right thing. :)
rFayjW98ciLoNQLDZmFRKD
Perl-Script hÃd! :-) Hacker hÃd :-D

Garda
Colbert is going to win the voting competition. But they're not going to give it to him. How embarrasing would it be to have a hungarian bridge named after an american TV personality. It's SO just not going to happen.
armadaender
Oh wow, quite amusing. Perl Script ftw.
tx
there is a certain lack of bridges in the world called perl script ... so indeed.. perl script hid FTW!
Garda
OK guys, an update on the colbert hid things are going bad somehow colbert fell to just 29% of the votes, only 2% above its nearest rival. I think that the elections are rigged, (Hungary, it wouldn't surprise me). Colbert really should get on his show and tell the viewers to get voting again. If they name the bridge after some stupid Hungarian saint i'm going to be so pissed off.
rFayjW98ciLoNQLDZmFRKD
I want the perl script bridge! :-)

Garda
Actually I think he's winning!http://www.m0hid.gov.hu/elsofordulo nah, that's only the first round of votes. http://www.m0hid.gov.hu/toplista that's the list for the second round of voting all votes are nullified after the first round and counting starts again (personally i think they did that just because colbert got 17,000,000 votes and they hoped somebody else would win if they reset voting)
PoyBoy
Colbert pwns. No iffs ands or butts
omega_ion
Well second place is Jon Stewart, which would be acceptable, but Zrinyi is catching up, with about 2000 votes behind Stewart, and about 10000 behind Colbert.
Garda
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dNyHnjKIM0 Colbert is #1 too bad he's not actually gonna get the bridge names after him that would've been fun
