boardbreaker Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 my schools computer has an israeli internet filter callled Rimon (http://neto.net.il). what is the best way to bypass it - VPN (AnchorFree's HotspotShield, maybe), proxy, or some other method? Quote
VaKo Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Do your school work? Or learn about setting up a VPN server at your home and connecting to that. Quote
Iain Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 When I read the OP question, I thought it meant getting out of Israel, rather than accessing sites in Israel. It made me think of the situation several weeks ago when Iran tried to restrict internet access to their citizens following the election. Of course, many found ways around that. I'd agree with VaKo's comment, assuming that they haven't locked everything down so tight that you can't even create a VPN tunnel. I guess they might have blocked outgoing 1723/1701 for students so you might have to think of something else. Quote

Sparda Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Back in the day i could convert the ip to hex and pop it in the browser and it would work haha :P That can also work with poorly implemented IP based filtering or DNS based filtering. Quote
