ok well i dont think/i cant find ultravnc for linux, so i will have to use TightVNC, so wish me luck on installing it, cuz i totally suck at installing software on linux, rarely can i get it to work, even after hours of googling :)

ok thanks, i really dont think it needs to be extremely secure, it will just be on the local network, but does anyone have any suggestions for which is the best one?

Does anyone know of some software that lets you view other people's computer from yours on the network, providing that they install this software also? It needs to be compatible with BOTH linux and windows. It would be best if it were open source, or just freeware. Some software I have found would be NetSupport but you have to buy that and I need free. If anyone knows please post. Thanks

Yes they are a rip-off, These people have been around for years i remember first seeing their commercials on television about 7 or 8 years ago, In my opinion most of the companies like this do just take your money for themselves, however i have seen some that are legit, most of the ones that claim to be non-profit are lying

well you can think what you want, the reason i want to do it is to 'force' a user to go to a particular webpage, without it redirecting so they wont know it, i rarely use myspace for what it was designed for, the main thing i do on it is simply use it to get free advertising, i will post links on it hoping that the few people on my friends list will visit the sties, but like i said, i dont use it and personally i dont like it either but its such a highly visited website so i might as well take advantage of the free advertising you can use it for

ok well it really doesnt need to be certified cat6, its just for my home, i currently have a mix of cat5 and cat5e installed and i dont know if it would be better to got to cat6 or just buy more cat5e (i need to run some more cabling because i am running more computers now then i did when i first put it all in) as for transferring data from one computer to another, i rarely do anything extremely big, maybe once every two months i will copy my entire hard drive from one computer to another for backup but usually i just copy small programs or drivers and backing up pictures, so would you recommend getting cat6 or just stick with cat5e?

ok, so are the ends, rj45 connectors, the same for both, like will the ends for cat5 cables work with cat6? same with the connections on switches and NICs

Is the only difference between CAT-6 cable and CAT-5/CAT-5e cable the speed? Also would standard Cat-5e connectors work with Cat-6 cable and still have the same speed?

Ok first of all I am almost positive this would be the correct section to ask under. I need to know if there is some other way to include one webpage into another, e.g. like an iframe Im just going to speak the truth and tell you, I need to put include/embed a webpage into a myspace profile, iframes are blocked and php doesnt work, is there any other code that can accomplish this? I have tried embed but that didnt work either.
