  1. And also to add to everything digip has said, you might just want to install ubuntu. If you are only using that distribution for web development then backtrack is not ideal. Like he said it is a penetration testing platform that isn't new user friendly. Ubuntu is in my opinion one of the easier to use distro's of Linux and should provide all of the capability backtrack 5 r1 would.

    802.22?

Interesting idea using the whitespaces in the cr band... I'm guessing it probably isn't ok for you to use a signal that's not meant for you but it would be interesting, I'm going to look more into it. What kind of device would you use?
  3. I'm not sure your right. They, the British Govenrment, are trying to censor websites like Facebook and Twitter, if anon does attack where would they place their target? On the government pages?
  4. Alright thanks, I will check it out and let you know how it goes.
  5. Hey where did you get MRI? I was under the impression that it had a time experation on the software and if it timed out it couldn't be used unless you got another copy from the geeksquad server. A friend of mine is geek squad he got me a copy once I loved it.
  6. What are you having trouble with when you go to decrypt the file manually? Is there a automatic alternative that comes with the program?
  7. There actually are a few hak5 episodes that have some really cool software on flash drives. I personally like: Katana v.2.0 http://www.hackfromacave.com/katana.html Yumi http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/ Joli OS http://www.jolicloud.com/download Regards, Morfir
  8. Maybe try google next time before you ask..... http://www.google.com/search?q=yoda+protector+1.03.3&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari
  9. Wow that was quite an interview, I dont understand how she can just sit there and preach while her networks get attacked. You think she would be responsible enough not to mock security semi-professionals but apparently not... Morfir
  10. Hey you need to add Linux to the list of servers. All of the servers I run a Linux, ubuntu and apache stuff. Maybe add that to the poll? Regard, Morfir
  11. You could always use truecrypt as well. I have used it to encrypt my hard drives before and it works very well.
  12. Hey Ampix0, Compliments on the video, you do a very good job. How did you get into the subject of credit card scanning? Regards, Morfir
  13. Is there actually a way to monitor it? That would be a interesting subject to look into, do you know of any material on the subject? Regards, Morfir
  14. Well first off if your talking about air cards as in mobile gsm modems, they probably arnt operating on the same frequencies as 802.11 a/b/g/n. I'm sure there is a way to monitor those frequencies with some program but I'm not sure if they even support promiscuous mode. There's probably some device made to monitor the frequencies of gsm but I don't know of any. Regards, Morfir
  15. The only reason it would effect your preformance is if your Hard Drive doesn't have enough room for virtual memory. When the space on your hard drive isn't being used to store files and etc, part of the free or inactive space is used for virtual memory. If you use up all of the space then your hard drive does not have any extra space for virtual memory. Regards, Morfir
