I had a vb.net class over a year ago. Can't remember exactly what you have to do, but I think you need to add a module and have global strings that hold the values of the text boxes. Then you can use them on whatever form you are in. Hope that helps.

I've looked into this a time or two, but because of lack of funds I quit. I'm starting a new job Monday and today I spent most of my time at www.mp3car.com because i'll have money now. They have forums and a store. I don't know if their stuff is expensive or not I haven't checked around to compare, but it's a good place to look around and get ideas. I've also found this book Car PC Hacks and might pick it up. Read the customer reviews I think it's the 3rd one lists all the chapters. Sounds like it would come in handy when building a CarPc.

I went out and bought this external HDD and got my NSLU2 setup without any hacked firmware yet. Just wanted to see what it was capable of doing. It's pretty nice I have it set to do incremental backups of 3 folders on my computer and 1 folder on my dads computer every night. Plus I can access the files it stores over the internet.

I am running ubuntu on a old pc. It's not that I don't know linux because i'm learning, it's the fact that their is so many different things I could do with the NSLU2 that I don't know where to start. I know I still want the backup functionality but the other stuff I was going to leave to Hak5.

I've tried this program and recovered some pictures for a friend once. http://aumha.org/downloads/restoration.exe I don't know if it will work for you, but worth a try. As long as they haven't done too much on that computer since they deleted the files it might still be there.

I actually did like it. just thought it would be a mini episode or something. I love hak.5 skits.

downloaded it. It wasn't much of an episode, more like a commercial. But at least they are supporting something worth supporting.

I have nero 5 and when it starts up it asks you "What would you like to burn?" Just click the Disc image or saved project, then it will open a file dialog box. Choose your iso from there. Right now i'm installing ubuntu, hopefully it works.

Yesterday I went to the mall and noticed that my Office Max was having a store closing sale. The store was pretty empty but I figured I could get some cheap printer ink or paper. Well there wasn't anything worth getting until I dug through a box of crazy glue and found a Linksys Network Storage Link (NSLU2). I guess someone hid it there and was going to come back and get it. It was marked as $99 but was 70% off. I figured I'd get it and put it on Ebay and get my money back plus more. I looked online to see what the cheapest price I could find was and on froogle it was about $78. I think this would be a great cheap hack to have on Hak.5, plus I want to hack my NSLU2 but would need a little help from you guys since i'm new to this.

I don't know of any print shops in my area. What are the better known print shops. Also my question was where did Hak.5 get there poster printed from.

Where did you guys get your Hak.5 Posters printed out at? My brother's birthday is coming up and He was a hugh Zelda fan. I found the overworld map from the original NES Zelda and thought that I would get it printed out as a poster for him. My Parent called me today and wanted me to come renew their antivirus. Yes they don't even know how to renew it. They have Norton right now, and I know i had trouble with it awhile ago. The autodetect was disabled and took a lot of googling to reenable it. Anyway my question to everyone out there is what antivirus should I get them. I don't want them to continue to use Norton. They don't want to use a free one like AVG or AntiVir so what antivirus does everyone here use............

I use tinyspell http://www.megspace.com/computers/tinyspell/ it sits in your taskbar and every time you misspell a word it beeps and the icon turns yellow. Then you click on the icon and it brings up a list of words it thinks you meant to spell, and you pick the correct one. The only annoying part about it is when you are typing passwords that aren't really words it beeps, but you can add those words to it's dictionary.

I was searching around and went to my Wireless Network Connection Properties, then the Settings of the Internet Connection Sharing. Is there anything in there I can change to do what I want it too? I can't test this because computer(3) has a fried motherboard. I'm in the process of building a new computer(3).

I have cable internet and a wireless router which is wired to my main computer(1). I have another computer(2) that is connected wirelessly in another room. I can connect another computer(3) to computer(2). My problem is I want computer(3) to be connected to the network ,which it is, because I have shared files on computer(1) that I want to be able to access, but I don't want computer(3) to be able to access the internet.. So my question is can you have a computer that is hooked up to the network but not allowed to reach the internet...
