  1. LOL WUT? Thread summary: 1. n00b_nugget tell us that he's used the TELNET CLIENT to connect to a SERVER on port 80. He's getting some weird output. 2. I tell him it's probably not a Telnet server that he's connecting to. 3. Deveant elaborates, explains setting up a TELNET SERVER. 4. You misunderstand Deveant and think he's talking about setting up a TELNET CLIENT. 5. I correct you. 6. You think I'm talking about the first post, when I'm actually talking about Deveants contribution. agreed, n00b_nugget mentioned that therefore i say that if u want to connect telnet needs to be running on the server side, i thought it would be kinda plan that i was talking about a service not a client.
  2. http://www.ps3news.com/forums/playstation-...disc-54945.html Tuts on how they did it
  3. :| some one pretty much the same as me... in Aus, in Vic, going to Tafe, using it for the path ways into RMIT... im scared... what tafe u going to?
  4. lol -edit- might as well make this post somethink. First if ur trying to connect to some one they need to have telnet running, MS XP by default doesnt, MS XP SP2, make it even harder for u to turn it on. To start Telnet on default port open up CMD and type: For XP < SP2 net start telnet For XP SP2 sc config tlntsvr start= auto net start telnet with this to connect to it all u need to do is in CMD type: telnet xx.xx.xx.xx you will then be prompt for user and pass. Also just a note if u want security use SSH not telnet.

hmm just wondering are u hard coding or soft coding (using progs, such as Front page, Dreamweaver)?
  17. most lan partys ive gone to (which allow file sharing) windows have done the job fine, though we dont use DNS, windows file sharing and DSN kinda suck, well in the way of direct communication. Though with a decient DHCP server, weve never had a problem with clients and file sharing. oh just to note, all the lan partys ive gone to have been hosted by me and friends, or i just end up teching <_< though dont get me wrong, there public LANs and usaly have 40-60 people attend.
  18. You do know that things on TV are fake, right? Oh, and people who live on an island shouldn't really bad mouth others about "inbreeding." hmm what they did i dont think it was fake, mabye a little exadurated but not fake, they were palted with rocks, mabye not followed but still yelled at and threatened.
  19. lol... i think... haha that was kinda odd
  20. hmm do u guys run bluetooth in ur labs? or did he have a USB dongel plugged in? ive got some toys built for the sony Ericson V600i series that allows me to use my camara to simulate the laser of a mouse, though it sucks arse and wastes a shit load of power. Though just thinking bout it then whilst i was typing, i wonder if it was possible that his connection was made to the computer via the internet?
