  1. I've got 110 (11 x 10 grid, minus 1). It only fills about 75% of the desktop space on this laptop. There definitely has been some cruft buildup though and I really should go through and clear out the junk.
  2. I just remembered I have a bag of keycaps! (That's what the 'overlay' is called I think) Got a few Model M keyboards a while ago. One of them was broken but I took off all the keycaps and saved them. I'm an old computer collector and I'd be happy to trade your strange keys for some normal replacements. I'll send you a PM.
  3. Try Lednews if a full rebuild in wordpress isn't the order of the day: http://www.ledscripts.com/free/perl/lednews It's free and can be plugged right into existing webpages with a server side include.
  4. It's not my pic, I just hotlinked it off the homepage of the pandora website. The small laptop is an Asus eeePC by the looks of it.
  5. It looks cool and also impossible to get. Since you said you weren't interested in gaming, I'm not sure this gaming handheld is what you're looking for. Can't imagine typing whole papers on this, but I might be a bit keyboard-size obsessed. Great comparison shot:
  6. The great thing about getting a netbook like an Acer Aspire One or Dell Mini 9/12 is that the cheapest models are already pre-loaded with some sort of linux so tracking down the drivers for the hardware won't be a problem. Just make sure you're OK with the tiny keyboard size. If you're looking for a full size keyboard, by laptop standards, look at something with a screen size over 10 inches.
  7. Yeah, I think the key here is to create great looking files first and then to "print" them to PDF (with PDFCreator or a plugin). Creating great looking files could be as easy as some simple formatting (or template use) in a word processor.
  8. Thanks! Topic link is now http://hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8630 The chipsbank 2090 tool is a lot of fun to play with, but of course it is a bit dangerous. Clicking "start" will blow away the flash drive's existing configuration with not so much as a warning. That wasn't a problem for me, though, and I'm looking forward to being able to customize this flash drive in a way that would be impossible without the controller chip. This free (promotional item) flash drive is probably the most capable I've owned. :)
