Anyway the distro the eeepc ships with is shit, if you are happy installing something like Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo or Slackware get the Linux one if it's cheaper. webjockey Posted June 14, 2008 Share Posted June 14, 2008 Get the Linux 900 version and put XP on it if you want to. Because the XP 900 only has 16GB of SSD storage compared to the Linux 900's 20GB. Also, yes the distro (Xandros) that the EEE is shipped with is quite basic. But, installing Ubuntu (I reccomend eeexubuntu) is really very easy.
