moonlit
Recently Rev3 have had a little downtime. Why? They've been under attack. Not just by any regular asshole, but a large, corporate asshole. One that's been fighting and fighting dirty for some time now. Who's this, you ask? Why, it's your friends and mine, MediaDefender! Now, Mr Jim Louderback explains the whole deal better than I could, so here he is, Le CEO de Revision3, take it away, Jimbo... http://slexy.org/view/s20086vpi8 (Copied from an email from J. Louderback, also on the Revision 3 blog). Edit: If you feel so inclined, I'm sure a couple of extra diggs wouldn't go amiss: http://digg.com/security/Inside_the_Attack...led_Revision3_3. I hope they sue them into finacial ruin and some lawyer looks at this as one of the practices the RIAA and MPAA use against legit services. I know it didn't mention the RIAA and MPAA, but who do you think MediaDefender really works for? The fact that they openly admitted to using Rev3's servers for their own personal agenda and engaged in illegal activity says enough right there. Sparda
They violated every section of the UK Computer Missus Act, and most likely some other laws I'm not aware of. Rev3 have some money, and they have strong ground to laim for ,at least, monitory losses.
Corrosion.
It seems this place just ddos's any place they think is an illegal torrent site. Is it legal to just ddos a site because you think its an illegal site? anyway sucks for them, They should sue for it as digip said
nicatronTg
I hope they get arrested, sued, and sent into internet hell. I wonder how they managed to DDoS them. One data center usually isn't enough for a big site like Rev3. I wonder if they got "other" help....
