digip Posted May 5, 2007 Author Posted May 5, 2007 Just had a wacky idea for a mod. An etcha sketch with the left knob as the mouse cursor, the right knob as the left and right click(spin left for left click, right for right click) and attach a rollup USB keyboard for on the go, internal wifi and maybe even bluetooth. All loaded to an internal solid state drive and battery using modified iPod mod tied into a small lcd to fit behind the etcha sketch plastic framing. Probably impossible, but what mod that would be. Mobile hacking in a hidden package of an etcha sketch. Oh, and add the panic button so that when someone walks up, it puts a wallpaper/screen saver that looks like a real etcha sketch screen. Quote

Hold on, a mouse needs 2 dimensions to work, how would you represent both X and Y with just the left knob? Quote
digip Posted May 5, 2007 Author Posted May 5, 2007 Hold on, a mouse needs 2 dimensions to work, how would you represent both X and Y with just the left knob? Like a joystick. Its all for show...It doesn't have to rotate. Like I said, its a wacky idea. EDIT: Or more like an analog joypad/ joystick to control the cursor. Quote
