zarqua
My usual tricks for changing the timezone aren't working. I want to have the Owl boot with the proper timezone. I've tried changing /etc/init.d/system, setting export TZ, putting PDT in /etc/TZ, etc., and none of them stick. It always starts in UTC. Anyone have the magic formula? Thanks! wulf
Hi looking for the answer as well, I've tried with TZ=CEST-2 which works as it gives to proper CEST time for me but this is not how it should be done.
chrizree
Try editing: /etc/config/system in section: config system change: option timezone 'UTC' to: option timezone 'whatever timezone' reboot and verify with the date command and/or cat /tmp/TZ
zarqua
Yeah, that was one of my attempts too. Doesn't stick. Thanks for replying, though!
chrizree
OK, so when you reboot and check with, for example, the date command, the timezone is still UTC and not the timezone you previously configured?
zarqua
I take it back -- that DOES appear to fix it. I could have sworn that I tried that, but when I went back and checked just now, the TZ was set correctly. Thanks @chrizree!
Tech Man
I was able to make it stick once, and then it reverted back to UTC, maybe I triggered a factory reset?
