Mirothor
How will Hak5 deal with USB-C ports if they spread to Microsoft, Dell, and more? Also, is Hak5 just going to stay with adapters or make new devices with USB-C capability? I would stick with adapters, but I want to see others opinion. barry99705
Adapters. USB-C isn't that wide spread yet.
Dave-ee Jones
I don't think they'll re-design all the devices just to support USB-C anytime soon. Just stick with adapters. I myself recently picked up a USB-C OTG cable (best cable ever).
Sebkinne
I am actually really for USB-C in our products. It makes a lot of sense to use USB-C, a sturdy and reversible connector, especially for devices that have female micro-USB ports for power. Using USB-C as a replacement for the male USB-A plug might also make sense down the line, but I don't think we are there yet. We'll see what the future holds ;)
Mirothor
Sorry for the late response. Thank you!
Mirothor
One other question, if in the future Hak5 makes devices with USB-C will they also have USB-A versions too? I am able to get a newer computer when the time comes, but my questions is for someone who can't afford a newer computer and still wants to use the devices. Dave-ee Jones
The same generic answer still applies: Use a converter.
