VaKo Posted November 12, 2006 Share Posted November 12, 2006 FreeBSD is IMO, a better OS, but you will need to spend a long time setting it up to work nicely on a laptop. Nothing is installed by default. If you just want a quick, easy to install laptop friendly OS that can be used out of the box, look elsewhere. I like Suse for a simple laptop friendly *nix.
