hbgjordan17
Hello, When I run airodump-ng from a SSH terminal it uses maybe an average of 3-5% CPU. However when I try to run it in the background (by using '&' after the command) from either a script or a SSH terminal it uses nearly 100% CPU. Does anyone have any ideas why running it in the background uses all the CPU? I have experimented with redirecting the output to /dev/null and that did not help. In short: airodump-ng [options] = 5% CPU usage airodump-ng [options] % = 95% + CPU usage Thank you!

Sebkinne
This is an odd bug that has plagued airodump for a while now. The developer responded on the aircrack-ng forums once stating he didn't know why. This is why we wrote our own for record mode. Best regards, Sebkinne
