old news :

Joe Van Holsbeeck was a 17 year old Belgian teenager who was murdered on April 12, 2006 at Brussels Central train station. This murder, following the attempted theft of an ipod, took place at approximately 4:30 in the afternoon, during rush hour. Although petty theft is not uncommon, and even violent robberies are not unheard of in Belgium, Van Holsbeeck's murder in a crowded train station during the daytime has shocked many Belgians. Two suspects have since been arrested. How a crime viewed as so wanton could take place under such conditions has made this murder into a major public controversy

The murder took place around 16:30 hours (4:30 p.m.) on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 in the crowded main hall of Brussels Central railway station. Joe Van Holsbeeck, a 17-year old Belgian high school student and one of his friends were approached by two youths of about the same age. According to reports, the assailants at first asked for directions, but suddenly tried to take off with the victim's ipod

When Joe Van Holsbeeck resisted non-violently, he was stabbed five times by one of the two. The youth was then taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a couple of hours later. [1] Two suspected assailants, later identified to be Polish nationals, fled the station and were arrested some two weeks later.

ok so the 2 suspects were caught , and the incident seemed to b caught on video tape

on the camera's in the station ...

now here comes the new part :

now they both go locked up and apparently

one of them was allowed to leave the prison accompanied by a guard or something

to make a excursion or something and to go to a match of the red devils

(belgian national team)

and now there's a big fuss about that this was totally irressponsable

and they never shud've let him leave the complex

especially after all the efford to catch him.

and all the ppl that helped and the general public are outraged
