Custom Rescue Disk

Hello, I am looking for a way to collect programs from Linux live CDs. I would then put the software on my own live CD distro. Is there a program I can run that will find all the files for a specific program and bundle them into an rpm or similar package?

I know of a few Live CDs that have a large collection of tools out there

1) hirens boot cd

2) ubcd4win

These live CDs should help get your job done without any hassle.

I mainly want to make an anti-virus distro. I like Kaspersky's rescue, but sometimes the distro it is built on has issues with certain machines. I would like to build my own distro to run it, possibly something more light weight to see if I can reduce scan times. There are also some other Linux based anti-virus disks out there, and I wanted to combine them in a way that I wouldn't have to reboot between using the different software.

How easy do you think it would be to just brows the file system and find the necessary files?
