i set up an account and then i installed the host on my computers. this way the number never changes then i can just log into my account and pick which computer i want to connect to.

slow internet will be an issue with any remote service.

I use Avast 5 for detecting and removing viruses.

And I use both TeamViewer and UltraVNC for remote administration

I personally like better Comodo Cleaner it does a greet job, but I also have used Ccleaner in the past and it is also recommended.

For spywares removal, I use Spywareblaster and SpyBot - Search and Destroy.

Any more sugestions

1. Keep your system current with the latest updates

2. Besides CCleaner, you should give Comodo System-Cleaner a try, its also very good.

3. If you have time and patience to install these, you could try PFsense or Untangle, they are Linux based firewalls.

4. For more on spyware detection programs, http://anti-spyware-review.toptenreviews.com/

In answer to question 1: Set Microsoft Updates to check daily and install automatically, install windows defender. For AV I like MS Security Essentials and Anti-Vir, both are free and easy to use.

No offense to you, but why is everyone picking on me lately?

I do not see anyone being disrespectful, unless I scrolled over it. People are responding to the OP Questions 1 and 2.

Maybe I am getting a bit paranoid!

Infiltrator, I think you may be getting a little too paranoid. It seemed like everyone was replying to the OP and offering suggestions.

Yeah I did realize that, after finishing reading the comments. I've been a bit stressed out lately and not happy with work, I guess I overlooked Vako's response to the OP.
