Im curious if anyone here has swapped out their 2wire router for something else?

Im not digging the management console and i need better policy rules and the ability to connect via https (which this router is lacking).

Any suggestions? If you want to point me to a FAQ or link feel free. :)

I've ditched my 2wire modem a long time ago to a NetCom but it only offers HTTP for remote web administration no HTTPS. I did a bit of researching on the net but could not find any modem that is cable of using HTTPS for remote web administration.

Perhaps someone here in these forums might have the answer.

What do you mean, that router will not replace the 2wire DSL modem? That router has https in it? Are you after other features?

I believe the NetGear FVS338 will allow for remote management via the Internet and HTTPS. I ran this router for years without issue just prior to upgrading to pfSense.
