danielbrthwt Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 i was wondering if the was a way to turn a normal 8 GB USB stick in in to a usb rubber ducky Quote
Deevd Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 no don't think so... that's why the rubber ducky is made of a Teensy board and not a USB stick... Quote
NanoyMaster Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 yea there is, you want to shoot iisjman a message, I can't remember it off the top of my head, but he showed me it running on the weekend Quote
IOSys Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I'm pretty sure you can make the OS think it's a HID just by changing the VID/PID with the mass-production tool (MPT) for your UFD-controller.. Actually getting it to behave like one might be a challenge .. Quote
Sl45h3R Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 (edited) You won't be able to reprogram normal USB's as they normally store stuff as read only... Edited June 6, 2010 by Sl45h3R Quote
DjMaddius Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 As there is no real processor to do anything on it. Its not practical without more work than its worth. Anything is possible just somethings arnt worth doing. Quote
H@L0_F00 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 You won't be able to reprogram normal USB's as they normally store stuff as read only... lol not quite. Most flash drives can also be written to... that's usually what their intended purpose is. Quote
IOSys Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) lol not quite. Most flash drives can also be written to... that's usually what their intended purpose is. That's not what he meant , he means you can't modify the firmware of the controller .. .. but that's only because it's closed-source . (You can modify certain pre-defined variables in the firmware with the controllers mass-production tool) As there is no real processor to do anything on it There is a processor, some of those flash-controllers have modified ARM-CPU's (or whatever we should call those things :) ) embedded, others use in-house designs, but they do have a processor . benownzu93 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 You Want to be looking at the usb switch blade \ Usb Hack saw, that kind of stuff Quote
NanoyMaster Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 You could try something like Auto IT to do the same as the ducky (simulate keypresses & move mouse) it also has LOADS of other features. lemme know how you get on Quote
