Fon Firmware

Recommended Posts

See if you can flash it with either redboot or one of the windows apps first and if you can't then you'll need to start messing.

thanks for the reply,

this would be my first time flashing a router do you have any guides i could follow to do this?

i have read on the ddwrt wiki page that i have to mount a serial adapter to the fonera is this true?

would really appriciate any advice you could give me

thanks

There are loads of howtos in the forums and wiki. Assuming you are using windows just fire up freifunk and fill in the fields.

hi, i did what you said and i get the results from Freifunk:

stderr:Non arp received make sure, the device is connected directly

perr MAC: 00:18:84:11:7f:d8

peer IP: 0.0.0.0

stderr:Telnet for redboot not enabled

i am pluged in with ethernet cable my NIC is set to dhcp and the defualt ip address of my fon is 192.168.10.1

not sure what im doing wrong

Hey did you have any luck with your fon I to just got mine and it is loaded with 0.7.0 r2 looking for any insight/help. Did you have to use the serial connector or were you able to get it done a different way. Thanks in advance.

hi,

i haven't done much more on it. i have done some reading and instead of using a serial connection you can ssh into the fon and do it that way.

i am going to try it later ill let you know how it goes
