ok with a little more searching i have found that in order for a client to connect to the fon automaticly..... The AP that the laptop already knows about has to be set to "connect even if this network is not broadcasting"

hi, i am in the middle of flashing my fon using freifunk, at the moment is says, peer MAC 00:18:84:11:7f:d8 peer ip:192.168.1.254 your MAC 00:ba:be:ca:ff:ee your ip: 192.168.1.0 it has been stuck on that for the last hour, i am not sure if it is ment to be doing anything else or not. in task manager it is still using 50% of my cpu. i do not know what i am ment to be seeing, hope someone can help on this

hi, i haven't done much more on it. i have done some reading and instead of using a serial connection you can ssh into the fon and do it that way. i am going to try it later ill let you know how it goes
