Nokia N900, will run the new neopwn mobile Backtrack with packet injection, don't know if the 810 has the same chipset. There are plenty fakes about that run the debian OS< so should run BT fine. Don't know enough about the 810, but I imagine it is pretty well priced 2nd hand.

I remember doing the update. I agree with Vako if you've purchased hundreds of them for the sole purpose of creating a cluster, you probably have other options.
However, I do remember thinking it was stupid. It basically said "You don't need to do this upgrade, however if you don't you can no longer go online, play new games or new blu rays." Basically everything, why didn't they just inform Linux users they will no longer be supported and let them be. Smarmy arsed bastards if you asked me.

I think it's pretty cool. Obviously it could also be pretty stupid, you say under your house? But I'm assuming there aren't really any near you? Well shit, I'd be happy with it. As long as your fridge is able to contain beer you should be pretty sorted.
This might not be very helpful as I think I'm just asking your question back to you, but maybe you should think of some projects, I dunno maybe like a beowulf cluster. Or gaming if people want it, stick it on your site and get people to vote. It's hard to say becaue I'm not from your area, but there should be somewhere you can get the word out to the right kind of people.

Tried both like you, hadn't tried ubuntu in a while, switched for about a week to Ubuntu 10.04 from Fedora 13. I went back to Fedora.
Honestly if you've used Fedora for a while, not need to switch. Ubuntu IMO has gotten better, but I'd stick with Feddy.

You're right, there are loads. You're a home site so there should be no real traffic right now. Depends how flush you are with cash, do you need the best deal or something that just works?
Seeming this technically isn't the official site, we should rank sponsors. One that sticks out is cachefly, no lonher a sponsor but they get the thumbs up from me.Godaddy not so much. I know there are plenty places in the UK with better prices, but are domain.com just domain names or hosting?

I don't think I would put an i7 for a server - home that is. I never use this, it's a total waste. If I didn't need a notebook I would still use that tomshardware animal

It's difficult to give an opinion on war. Most of us here will have granparents who went through WWI and WWII, many of will know people mangled from recent conflicts. This is what makes it had to say it doesn't mean anything. If your brother lost one of his legs, try not getting behind the war effort. You want it to mean something. At the same time, you can't help but feel it's all stupid. Then again, if I was worth a few billion pounds, I would be far more important than anyone on here and my opinion would mean something.

Do you want more users and to build it into something along the lines of engadget or gizmodo? Then you have to do some work. The good news is, you can do it yourself, gain a shit load of knowledge and produce a better site. Get some people to post along with you, increase the content. Maybe look into http://drupal.org/about Not the easy peasy thing out there, but if you get bored of your site or it flops, not a bad thing to have picked up.
Other than that, your site is nothing great, but keep it up and try and give a useful opinion!

Wait, an app that lets you add MAC addresses, you can only log in from one of them(or spoof,which isn't hard from your own lappy) encrypts the connections - think of a VPN if you will, but not - and essentially the user logs in, but their sysem has used their MAC?!
Yeah MAC can be spoofed, but could these past attackers get your MAC??

I wanted to say a few things, as myself not what has been recent cabster21.
To Darren, the post above was me. Do what you can, on this travel take it all in, meet that you can and never ever think "This isn't fun". There will be time where it simply isn't, you feel drained etc. Tell whoever you are with, respect their time and enjoy it. Being British that quite often meant go for a few drinks.
It doesn't have to, it may seem like you're just going across the country. You're not! Think of all the people you know OF! Make this a time to see everywhere, even if it is from a film. I don't care, nor should you. Live, Christ man, go for it. You're going across the country of the USA!! Meet everyone, get it on camera, your bike shots on youth be were good, we want to see that!

I agree with your original post.
There are far too many Linux users who try to belittle anyone else, even new Linus users. And this pisses me off something rotten. I am very unpopular when I say I don't hate Windows or Microsoft, I actually like them. I have an Xbox, I would like the last Zune etc. However I user Linux, I do this because I found myself using Live CDs too much, so too the plunged as my main OS, and have grown to think it's better.
I never tell people to use it, or what distro to use. I hate people who claim not using Ubuntu hurts GNU/Linux. Fuck off, I don't use Linux to show my disgust against a company. I do however like the idea behind free software,but yeah.
I still vote for a rant thread!
Oh yeah, I dislike the whole idea using Linux makes you uber leet or any other shit, I have no idea how this computer actually communicates with this thing called the kernel, I know the name but shit, it doesn't interestme. I'm dumb as fuck as still use it. However like I say, I rarely use BT now, I just run things from my main OS.
