  1. I hate to sound like a Debian user, but read the effin' post.
  2. The chic on the right is "Dee" ... website (NSFW!!!!) www.puredee.com As a redhead, she could make your heart stop... mercy sakes. I'll let you Google Images her to get that wallpaper.
  3. Indeed, cams around the world updating live about once a minute. They are, in order from top to bottom: - Sydney Harbor | Sydney, Australia --- User controlled cam, so it pans around all the time b/t Opera House, Bridge, and Downtown - Tokyo Bay | Tokyo, Japan --- User controlled cam, so it pans around the bay and downtown all the time - St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands --- #1 Cruise Ship destination in the world... you can see 3 or more cruise liners a day - Great Pyramids | Egypt --- obvious - Eiffel Tower | Paris, France --- Fun to see the hourly show they put on especially The sidebar is gkrellm ... and the plugin doing the cam work is gkrellkam
  4. So you guys are still alive after all? I have already formed a preliminary podcast team because it seems nobody is doing a good Linux video podcast regularly. Hell -- the most regular mentions of Linux in a video podcast are on DL.TV -- and only because I set an email begging.. PLEADING for Linux .. and suggesting they use OpenSuSe. They did, and Robert Heron (aka the only person on the PLANET excited about Vista) LOVED it... and he talks about Linux (in passing) almost every show.
  5. "Trinity" - laptop ... also running Gentoo Linux
  6. "Xion" ... running Gentoo Linux and showing off XGL. Left screen: Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson showing why he's the best WR in college. Right screen: Hotness
  7. Seriously though; I'm buying two t-shirts from Jinx right now; you guys get a kick back from that right?
  8. I will donate 3,000 to the cause so you can get the camera. 3,000 Yen... tuition sucks!
  9. OpenSuSe installs a firewall by default and provides a nice easy GUI to use to tweak it through YaST. I'm sure other newb distros such as Ubuntu and Fedora do similar things.
  10. Well after burning about 10 minutes trying various combinations of all things Hak.5, I could find no Hak.5 group on Last.FM ... so I created one. Feel free to join it. It may take some time to show up in the search box; but if you're not a n00b .... you should be able to guess the URL quite easily.
  11. iptables, especially if you find trickeration like NAT of use. Shorewall is pretty good as well.
  12. Alienware computers are like Oakley sunglasses... you're paying through the nose for the name. The premium isn't as bad as Apple, but still pretty high. You can build a machine as fast or faster than an Alienware for 100's less.
