Personally I wouldn't trust bootlegged porn to a VHS cassett, let alone backed up data.
Neither would I, that's why I...wait a second.
Well, it's an interesting idea nonetheless.
DV Backup supports maxium storage sizes of 11.5GB in SP mode or 17.5GB in LP mode. Not bad, not bad at all.

Here's my question then: How is data saved on a vhs? If it's magnetic then theoritically it would be capable of holding magnetic data just like a hdd.
Right? Wrong? I honestly don't know. I hav't touched a VHS in about 5 or so years.

I dont get it, i went through 7 hard drives because i hacked people who told me their IP was 127.0.0.1, they must have had really good firewals that directed my attack back at me
Please tell me you're kidding. 127.0.0.1 is the default ip address for re-routing traffic back to the local host, back to you. Everything you send to the ip 127.0.0.1 is send right back or should I say looped back.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/127.0.0.1
An urban myth involving 127.0.0.1 is often circulated among the more technical computer related forums on the web. The story often involves a protagonist often referred to as “The World’s Worst Computer Hackerâ€. The story generally involves the Hacker hacking himself when tricked into using 127.0.0.1 as the IP address to hack into.In the same vein, 127.0.0.1 is often used as an IP address given to inexperienced computer users to trick them - much like rookies were sent to fetch left handed monkey wrenches in the days before computers.

thats just mean, its like waving a carrot in front of a donkey
Interesting analogy. But, one can respect why moonlit would keep the source disclosed for the time being.

Here's my fav.

Built one using my fam's old DSS dish and I was impressed with how far away I was picking up ap's. One of these with a orinoco gold and you're doing well.
Of course you could by one of these http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/copyright...hg5808p_500.jpg but why buy when you can build?

Creative!
But there's no way I'm going to sit there and watch a picture change every 30 seconds. I do love the project though.

Where on Earth did you find a working roomba for 15 dollars? I've wanted one of those for the longest time because I want to mount one of those usb-rocket launchers on the top, r/c control the thing with my cell phone and mount a small camera on the front. All to attack my flatmate with.

Wow, that's quite in-depth.
Edit: Who tf is hauser? 90 active processors, holy cow.

Rofl, makes me feel like a tree-hugging hippie just for watching that.

Last I knew he had the same car as Jenn Cutter, a VW Jetta.
I believe you're correct.

The trick to stopping script kiddies is simply have a good firewall, av and having your system patched. This will stop 99% of attackers because they would rather move on to another, easier target instead of spending time trying to kill your firewall, av, etc.

I guess that no matter what part of the world you reside in, a large portion of people just don't give a damn about much of anything.
Such a sad thing really.

No one mentioned the Dodge Viper or whatever that car was in the begining! I wonder if they borrowed it or Kevin actually has one. They do have a million dollar backing now don't they.
I don't believe that's Kevin's nor anyone elses at Revision3/Digg because being a Diggnation fan, I've noticed that Kevin has barely enough money to buy a cheap, ikea couch. So a 60K car is probably out of his budget range. They do have a few million dollars in venture capital funding but there's now way Jay (the CEO) would let them buy a red viper when they're constantly buying new servers and expanding their offices.

I see what both of you mean and I understand why it can be a bad idea to force people to vote. I got the idea from the Ausies because they're required to vote (unless it's been changed recently). I just got sick of hearing people complain about who's in office then say that they didn't even vote for anyone in the election once asked.

18.24 KB (approximently) per picture, every five seconds for a minute would equal 218.88 KB a minute/13,132.8 MB an hour, per person.
Assuming that about 10 people have the feed open, that's 131,328 MB an hour. And let's say we all watched/kept open the feed for four hours, we're looking at 656,640 MB total. Not too bad when considering the increadibly fast connection they pay for.
And I have no idea why I just computed all of that. Maybe it's because I'm doing my statistics homework at the moment. I need a life/girlfriend/something.

Ya, its the shit!
I'll have to agree with PoyBoy here.

"we should invade france because they won't do what we say"
Hmmm....
I've come to the conclusion that I should transfer to a British uni and get out of this country.
Anyone looking for an american roommate? I'm really quite clean! I promise!

use your imagination
Trust me, I've tried. But I still can't see how you can turn this:
In to this:
Using a camcorder as tapestreamer (backup)

There has got to be a bulk lot of those on ebay somewhere. Probably with free shipping.
