  1. I live in the armpit of the USA. New Jersey. Not too far west of the infamous Jersey Shore. I was really surprised to see a lot of Aussies on here. I have to say, I took a trip down under for 2 weeks in the summer(relative to the northern hemisphere) of 04, and it was pretty awesome!

    i live next to you.

  2. How did you manage that?

experimenting with linux based alternatives to itunes. then i had to use itunes to unbrick my ipod, or get it out of "recovery mode". so i tried itunes in wine, which was a big fail and a half. so then i booted into my windows partition an installed itunes. but it wasn't installing right. kept getting errors telling me to uninstall it. so i had to use winrar to open the .exe install file and manually install a certain file that was having problems. after that it worked fine, and it fixed the ipod. uhg. dam windows and dam apple. they have to make there products so buggy. you would think that there would be an itunes install for linux by now. but i guess not cause then it wouldnt be open source. and apple dosnt want you using third party software with there products.

  3. im doing this tomorrow !!!!!!!!!

    fuck sony ass holes

.... will this affect my phone if i decided i wanted to install the 2.1 update from sony ?

if you do a factory update it wont matter. if you update using a rom, then you wont get the regular updates from sony. which dosnt really matter if you wanna play around with roms. if you upgrade to 2.2 and for some reason you want to downgrade to 2.1, it might be tricky. i know some phone can do it but you would want to read up on the first if thats important to you.

personally i think you should just root it, and play with some custom roms. that will put you at 2.1 or 2.2 and you wont regret it. custom roms are so much better then stock.

i was on 2.1 before it was even available for my phone from the factory.

  4. Geez, that guy sitting next to Darren in the interview is such a douche. Maybe he was tipsy but he sounds like a pampas know it all.

you know.....i was thinking the same thing the entire time, but i didnt wanna say anything. but ya your totally right. he's got that im elite and i know more then you so im cooler then you attitude.

  5. That's what really cracked me up, when I read that line. Come one its so obvious that accessing someone's else account without their consent is illegal.

Anything that you access without proper authorization from its owner its illegal. I don't know what that guy was thinking.

i know an hes " a clinical professor of law at Harvard Law School as well as the director of the school's Cyberlaw Clinic at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society" come on....seriously? wtf. lmao. that guy just ruined he's street cred. lol

  6. im looking for a good linux program to extract sound from video files.

like in windows movie maker when you load a video it puts the video and audio in a separate track. you can cut the parts of the audio you dont want, then cut the whole video out and save it as an mp3 file. i want something that will show the video too so im not just searching through audio to find the part i want.

    any one?

  7. "I honestly don't know the answer," said Phil Malone, a clinical professor of law at Harvard Law School as well as the director of the school's Cyberlaw Clinic at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society. Malone also served for more than 20 years as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice.

LMAO! wow...if i ever get arrested for anything i hope that guy is my prosecutor. how can he say something like that on record.
