  1. I use opensuse, games i play include quake4, doom3, neverwinter nights, CS:S (cedega), Dawn of War (cedega) max payne 1 + 2 (cedega) and Final fantasy 7 (PCSX).

    The native games work without any problems. the cedega games can take some messing with, especially Dawn of war and steam.

    PSCX doesn't seam to work at all on my 64bit box but runs with little problems on my 32bit one.

  2. this spinning avators things are pissing me off....slows the page right down when loading

    I think they're kinda pretty. Can't say i noticed any slowdown, but then i was raised on dial up.

    Wouldn't have one myself though 'cos it'd make me look like a dick who's just started playing with a cracked animation suite.

  3. If I remember rightly its illegal to play DVD’s on Linux, I remember years ago trying to track down libdvd (and associated libs the names I can't remember) was the hardest thing...ever.

    #include <stdio.h>

    main()

    {

     int DRM;

     int vista;

     DRM =1;

     Vista = 1;

     if(DRM+vista == 2)  printf("vista sucks");

     else                          printf("vista still sucks");  //probably wont compile, but who cares.

    }

  4. yay, police the internet, god bless America and the order of the dollar.

    Forgive me if I'm wrong but if these torrent are what they say they are, that would be entrapment. if they're not then no copyrights have been infringed.

    so what is the point?

  5. Yeah, I’ve pulled that one, the HDD was well and truly dead and the PSU tripped, but once it had cooled down it booted fine.

    The only spare disk I had at the time was 240 MB. I just managed to squeeze on win98, then I had to compress the damn thing to fit the drivers on. I had 6 mb of free space left for web browsing.

    It was loads of fun, it was just after I first got broadband installed.

  6. Quite right, current is through a wire voltage (potential difference) is across a circuit.

    How much current are we talking about? if its enough you could coil the wire round a soft iron core and use a magnetic switch to activate (or deactivate) the second circuit...maybe
