  1. Uh... what?

You're seriously asking for a tutorial on how to build a botnet?

    Seriously?

Go do your own research or go and fuck yourself. There's no way in hell I'm going to sit and watch a thread on how to build a botnet. Do you have any idea how much of a problem that could cause? Some kid comes running in, reads the topic, then has this awesome plan for world domination and we helped cause it?

I don't usually feel the need to be this much of an asshole about topics but this is a really really bad idea.

Moonlit nailed it on the head. That wat your going to get when you ask that.

    cheers,

    Destro

P.s. The documentary isn't on building so if you want to take over the world LOL dot bother

  2. OK, I just sat down and read the entire 39 page document you linked to, and in short it says this:

The defense make numerous constitutional arguments, a: they need more time to work out if these apply to this case and b: if they do, this is a seperate case in its own right. Basically, "don't get side-tracked" is whats being said here.

Some of the arguments used about the claims for damages may have merit, but given the letter of the law (and not the spirit) they don't apply.

I suggest you read the documents before your retort.

On a side note, Slashdot isn't what it used to be, pretty much every other comment is +5 insightful but when reading them, they most certainly are not.

I haven't read the whole thing yet (given because it's long) but so far that seems to sum it up. Thanks VaKo!

    cheers,

    Destro

  3. I actually have been thinking bout this a lot. I think with filters and parental, controls, and etc... That the kids will lose interest and thus resulting in them treating the computers badly or trying to bypass everything.

I am not opposed to it, but that is just what I think so far. Not sure on final decsion yet.

    cheers,

  4. I got into it years ago in a drunken download session with a flatmate and an illegal cable internet hookup, i was studying fine art at the time. We'd run out of things to pirate and started downloaded random things that for some reason were actually free. Scroll down a few years and I work with EMC systems and ESX in a global telecoms firm.

That a heel of a story VaKo LOL.

Thanks for all the posts and comments! I am also wondering if hak5 has done anything for you?

    cheers,

    Destro

p.s. Of any of the crew reads this subject I would love to read your comments and thoughts also. Hak5 can also change the life of the makers also!

  5. Did you really live on your own. Now that I think about it I kind of do (mentally). It seems everyone is opposed to what I do. Thank g-d for hak5 and everyone here

  6. “Ten years ago, In 1999, an Elite Hacking unit was sent to prison by a Virginia court for a crime they didn't commit. These Hackers promptly escaped from a federal security prison to the Virginia underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The E-Team."

Haha I second this. When did they escape, everyone should be aware of them. Ahhhhh. LOL

  7. I don't live in new York, but there are some greeat places. Tell me what specific stuff your into and I can help. Also I think it is awesome that you are taking time off, most people don't think about it. This reminds of the saying time goes by fast an if you don't stop to look around you will miss it.

  8. I know exactly what you mean. I love watching old episodes and seeing how much things have changed. The first thing I do when I come home from school is go on hak5. Do you think I am one of the youngest people on hak5. I have noticed there are some older people on here, which is great to have a range of age.

I don't think your sketchy. Everyone has their own way of writing and expressing yourself!

    cheers,

    Destro

  9. That is good your kept it secret. It's the worst whn people like the guy who hacked mikey cyrus myspace brag about it. When you stuied mobile phones I take it that you were not organized or is there more to your name. For my name, I used to watch a lot of tv and searched the top cartoon character names and destro came up with a pic of a guy with a unibrow. Me and my bro have a joke about them so I picked that.

    cheers,

    Destro

P.s. I hope more people get involved in this thread.

  10. That is very interesting. Did your kids ever ask or show interest in what you were doing? I am only 14 so it was taking social and time for work away from me.

    cheers,

    Destro

  11. That great to hear (read). I know exactly what you mean. Just a year ago I was created virus's and worms for people that had picked on me. I found I was becoming extremely dark and mean. It completely turned my life around and has inspired me to be in the IT field (in general don't know specifically yet).

cheers and thanks for the fast response,

    Destro

p.s. Thanks for the welcome also!

  12. Apple is very good for help. Their online support from the online store is absolutely horrible, but calling the 1800 muber is great. It can take a little bit to get on, but it is very worth it.

    cheers,

  13. Hey everyone! This is my first day on my vacation and I realized today something very great. Once I woke up, the first thing I did was watch a couple episodes of Hak5. It made me think about how much hak5 has changed my life.

Well for startes I found hak5 by accident. I was on google searching some question about programming and a hak5 post showed up. That night I stayed up watching episodes and exploring the forums. So, first off I am wondering how you found hak5?

Hak5 has done a large amount for me. Firstly, I would probably not nearly further my knowledge of programming, etc... I showed an interest, but not enough to actualy go somewhere. Hak5 has actually changed my life a big amount and I would like to thank the hak5 team and everyone on the furoms.

Before I go (hope to continure writing about this, but can't right now because of time) I would like to tell a quick story about my school. Recently a kid was tellinga nother kid that he could pretty much hack anything. And there I was trying to tell him to stop, but then the kid said I am not the real expert, Jake (me) is. Right then and there I was called a nerd and other names. Then in spanish class (we have assigned computer) kids changed my background to hacker alert. It was exrtremely saddening and frusterating. But, good came out of it, it just made me want to get better and help the hacker community.

So I would like to know how you found hak5 and has it done anything for you?

    cheers,

    Destro
