people calling their apps sad, i dont have any apps, i have my phone rooted and have pirni, but i dont have apps or use them, except for netflix once a month. i only use my phone to call, and occasionally text.
Wtf. These phones are supposed to consume your life! Get with it. ;)

True. I imagine it gets harder to come up with new content week after week. I wouldn't want to deal with constantly finding that. These type of shows don't usually go on that much more than they have already, so I hope they're still enjoying it enough to keep it going a little longer.

Tekzilla is for the much less technically inclined (for the most part). I like the Android segments. Although, they seem to be more than usual lately, and I also do prefer the more server admin type related topics. So I agree with you there.
Pretty sure he doesn't frequent these forums anymore. May be worth shooting their feedback email a note or two about it asking if it'll change sometime soon?

I saw a "modem jammer" back in the dialup days. Yes, I realize it was just a bs program scrolling random lines of jibberish now, but it is was sparked me to become fascinated with all things IT.

Use something like gentoo or arch linux where you have to build the system from the ground up. If you do that, you'll have a decent starting point for using linux.
Eeesh. That'll just become overwhelming to a newb in my opinion. Install something straight forward and simple like the popular Ubuntu or Debian. Get that up & running & dick around for a bit. Once that's accomplished, you can go to a more thorough process of installing/setting up gent/arch
