SomeoneE1se Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I'm about to head out so I figured I'd ask before and read it all when I get home. I'm looking into setting up a hotspot for the studio where I work, and just about everything uses some form of radius. But I have never used any kind of radius. Anyone have a suggestion for radius software or what would be more helpful, documentation on setting up a hotspot implementation of radius? Quote
metatron Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 First thing use FreeRADIUS as OpenRADIUS has security issues. This should help a little. http://www.howtoforge.com/wireless_hotspot_howto Quote
G-Stress Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I actually finally attempted to setup radius for the first time myself last night. I did Train Signals CWNA course and they covered radius. Their setup was installing IAS and DNS on server 2k3 and granting active directory users dial in access to the wireless network. Has anyone else setup radius this way? I'm running dd-wrt v23 sp2 I followed the video how they done it, but when trying to connect it just hangs on validating identity. I'm gonna mess around with it some more tonight and see what happens. Quote
