Nophix
So, I was updating the bios on a friends Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI mobo, and something was wrong with the flash utility we got from Gigabyte. When it runs, it says Copy Bios Failure, and errors out. This cycle just keeps going on over and over, and it won't post to the backup bios either. I used the Qflash out update utility from Gigabyte. Any idea how I fix this mess? Thanks!
Mark Manching
check the original bios file from CD/Floppy Disk or update from gigabyte website for fix or read their motherboard's manual to update bios instructions
VaKo
If it boots and runs post, your ok. If it doesn't, your screwed.
Nophix
Nope, it just keeps trying to run the qflash over and over. I think if I could get that to stop, I could post the backup bios and be ok.
digip
did you remvoe the disk to flash it after the error? Try and remove the cmos battery and the try to boot, then replace the batter and reboot.
Nophix
All fixed. I had to clear CMOS, let it load and fail, and flash it through the DOS utility.
