Mr_Mischif
I'm thinking of doing a science project on the possibility of using an RFID reader to steal people's money, and I'm wondering if anyone knows where it's possible to find a cheap RFID reader. Also, does anyone know how I would dump the RFID info in any usable fashion?

metatron
I have quite a nice set up for research but this guy is well known in the area of RFID bits as he likes to release his research to the general public, he also sells a nice range of equipment at a range of prices. It sounds like your just looking for a reader which is cheap enough but if your planing on cloning your need something that supports writing which can be a little pricey. http://www.rfidiot.org/ Edit: the one from thinkgeek.com may not support the tag types you are going after which would make it useless, check before you buy from anywhere. Mr_Mischif
Well I suppose I won't need write capabilities, since I'll probably only want to be able to read and replicate the command that the card uses to transfer money, but I'll def check out that website.
