digip Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Has anyone here ever used http://www.opendns.com/ and do they find it beneficial? What would one gain by using them as your DNS servers instead of your Local ISP? I see no speed boost, yet they claim to make surfing faster. Quote
moonlit Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I've used it, works fine... I've seen no advantage to using it, but it's handy if your regular DNS is down. Quote

SomeoneE1se Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I use firefox and it used to use google's 'i'm feeling lucky' when I searched from the address bar and that doesn't work anymore with OpenDNS but awstats's DNS lookup take a lot less time so it does work for that. Quote
