cooper Posted April 17, 2007 Share Posted April 17, 2007 I killed the dupe. Note that elevating the priority of something doesn't neccessarily make all things faster. It allows _that one app_ to get more or bigger timeslices from the CPU, which means that all the other apps get less and thus become slower. You'll probably want to read this article about the Windows Vista kernel, particularly the paragraph titled "Multimedia Class Scheduler Service".
