Sensei_Steve
Hi guys! I want to install rsyslog on my Pineapple tetra; I want to send some logs to elasticsearch. The problem is that I get an error when I try to install it: root@Pineapple:/# opkg install rsyslog_8.18.0-1_mips_24kc.ipk Installing rsyslog (8.18.0-1) to root... Collected errors: * satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for rsyslog: * libc * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package rsyslog. I'm new with the Pineapple, so I might be doing something wrong. Maybe you could help me? If you need additional information I can offer, please ask. Thanks a lot! Zylla
The standard C-library on the latest firmwares is musl. Where did you download that IPK? Is it built with musl? Perhaps try "opkg install rsyslog"
Sensei_Steve
Hi, @Zylla, I have downloaded the IPK from OpenWRT. Running "opkg install rsyslog" gives the same error with libc.
Sensei_Steve
Problem solved. I have upgraded the firmware and I could install rsyslog. Apparently I have installed a package that broke libc or something...

Foxtrot
As Zylla said, with the release of the 2.6.0 firmware the C library implementation is musl, in the past it was uClibc. Looks like you just downloaded a package for the wrong version. Glad you got it installed :)
