anode
Hi all, Can a Ubertooth One be used to impersonate a BT device? lock, speaker, headset, etc.? Spoofing the MAC should be trivial, I'm just wondering about if it can present itself as the above devices/services. It doesn't have to do the job, just claim to for the pairing. Cap_Sig
It depends on what version Bluetooth the device is running. Newer versions have implementations to help prevent spoofing. Not saying it can't be done. Haven't done a lot of reading lately on the topic but remember seeing there are leaks still in some newer versions. Ubertooth One is a device built for 2.4 GHz Bluetooth so should work fine. https://tools.kali.org/wireless-attacks/spooftooph is one tool for trying it.
